I plan on helping Alliance players talk to Elder Wheathoof. To honor him, you get a free pass. I'll tell my guild to do this and see if we can't get all the Horde to cooperate or at least not be jerks about it.

I love that idea. And btw I never interfere with opposing factions attempting holiday quest completions. If I need an hk I usually go to BGs

Unfortunately, this year at least, some jerks are deliberately keeping the opposing faction from winning Wintergrasp- on a PvE-RP server, no less, thus denying us the required elder, the achievement, and ultimately, the meta-achievement. Wow, what a wonderful opportunity for funsuckers to grief others in a HUGE way. Thanks, Blizz, for forcing us care-bears to do what we hate, loathe, and despise, just for a petty (meta) achievement. (/sarcasm)Sintra E'Drien of the Ebon Blade, né Sindorei (yes I'm bitter, you would be too)

You can still get the Wintergrasp elder even if your faction isn't in control of Wintergrasp. Just fly into the fortress after the battle, he's right there.
