Breakfast Topic: Do you still run daily quests?

I don't know what it is about them. I certainly don't need the tokens to buy recipes, and my character hardly needs the pittance of gold that completion rewards her. But every day, I still head out on my trusty steed, picking Prickly Pears, grabbing Muddy Crawfish, and murdering thieves. It's just part of my routine, and I feel weirdly incomplete if the server resets before I can get them done.
What about you? Do you run your cooking dailies every day? Do you still make your way to Baradin Hold or Firelands to grind out a reward? Do your characters head to Dalaran or maybe even Shattrath to do their good deed of the day? Let us know.

Anyone else singing the Malcom in the Middle theme tune now?

I have all the cuts that I'm going to need for all my characters, I'm not going to get back in to our server's cut gem market, but I still find myself doing the stupid JC daily every single day. I don't know why, but I really enjoy them, especially the stardust one.

I have 2 JC's and do certain ones on both. I do make sure to do them everyday on my main JC. Why not? At the least it's a free Chimera's eye for 2-5 min of work. Also love the stardust one. I just wish you could do them in other cities as well.

The only one I bother with on my main is the JC one.
Though I'm not sure why because I will not ever have access to epic gems unless they make them available outside of raids...so learning all the epic cuts is kind of silly.
I also love the happy sparkly glitter one. But I hate elemental goo! I usually skip it on those days. >.>;;
My alts occasionally do other dailies. I have four kids that are at various stages of the Molten Front and Therazane. But I can't say I do any of them on a consistent basis.

Elemental goo is super easy. Just take the port to Hyjal, kill the elementals in front of you, and immediately take the portal behind you back to orgrimmar. Takes 3 mins top.

I'm sure glad I've been keeping at the JC dailies. It will be a while before I get any epic gems for myself, but being able to learn a requested lava coral cut got me a 600g tip last night!

I don't dislike it because it is hard, I dislike it because I am lazy. :)

I am with you on that one Ravyn. Sometimes I just don't want to go there and potentially have to fight people for mobs. Usually there is no one there, but every other time it seems I hit when there is a hunter or ele shaman tagging things left and right. I know they respawn quick but I go into competitive mode and get all worked up for nothing. What really chaps me is that there are cycles when it's all purple stones for like 10 days, then a week later it's all green ones. Wish they could weight the RNG that if it happened in the last 2-3 days there would be less of a chance for it to show. Probably too much work for a daily.

Actually, no. Both because I've finished the ones I could, like the Molten Front, or got EXTREMELY bored with, like the Argent Tournament.
And it's not helping that I switched factions and have to do them again if I ever want any of those mounts... I don't mind farming a bit every once and a while, but that place is just horrific.

I am so burned out on daily quests its not funny. I want to do them - and i will in spurts sometimes - but I find myself enjoying them less and less.
Wasn't always this way. Back when the Isle of Quel'Danas came out i was maxing out on daily quests, and grinded up to exalted. I did Argent Tournament Crusader title three times (twice on my main due to faction change, grrrr.)
Now, though, I just can't stomach them anymore. Blizz needs to make sure new patches have more content than daily quests - part of the reason I hated the Firelands patch was the only non-raiding content was daily quests and way overly long and difficult troll dungeons.
Gendou Jan 20th 2012 8:14AM
I should. I keep meaning to. My alts need nice things too.
But I don't. Because I've done it all before. Twice, sometimes three times.
Also, losing my Crusader title and all associated titles and progression at the Argent Tournament because the game doesn't understand faction transfers has soured me on doing that whole grind again.
Ashlar Jan 20th 2012 8:20AM
I really wish Blizz would fix this. I mean, we pay $25 for the faction transfer so its not free - is it too much too ask someone to leave our AT rep intact?

Trying to get a third char to cap. Either my mage that's lost in Northrend or my warrior who's chosen to stay in Un'Goro raising his Venomhide Hatchling while leveling through Dungeon Finder.
No time for dailies on my druid or dk.

stormwind cooking/fishing, dalaran cooking/fishing, argent tournament dailies (now champion with all factions, just need those Champion Seals for the mounts) and Baradin Hold dailies (again for the mounts). I'm no millionaire but I have a healthy 6 digit sum of gold, its just the mounts I want.
And the JC token, on my alt.
wollsmoth Jan 20th 2012 8:18AM
I like dailies, they're a nice way to unwind after a long day. Its like watching re-runs on tv: you don't really have to think too hard about it, but its still enjoyable enough to go through them again.
