The Queue: Do it live
Warpaint is a band you just have to see live. This is a fantastic live version of Burgundy followed by Undertow.
Zaet asked:
Do u think there will ever be another Warcraft RTS?
Put plainly, I'd be incredibly surprised if we saw another entry into the main Warcraft series while WoW was running. Placing Warcraft 4 right after WoW gives Blizzard very little wiggle room when it comes to the MMO's story, but placing it long after WoW sort of invalidates the MMO's story progress altogether. Essentially: "Here's what's going to happen regardless of how WoW's story plays out."
Of course, I'd love to play as an older Arator the Redeemer or even a King Anduin Wrynn, mind you.
yous95 asked:
What is the biggest creature in all of WoW history? I'm guessing Sargeras, but I'm not sure.
On terrestrial Azeroth, I'm fairly certain the largest natural creature (the largest we can identify, anyway) is Galakrond, the big daddy of all dragons. You can see his bones in Dragonblight. There are the bones of another "larger" creature off the coast of Kalimdor, but Galakrond was supposed to be the biggest, so I blame abstractions of size for that.
On Outland, that honor goes to Supremus, at least where in-game size is concerned. He is absolutely massive.
Kaia asked:
why is it that the worgen NPCs say 'May the light of the New Moon guide you' when a New Moon is completely dark and doesn't reflect any light? Am I missing something or what?
It's pretty clearly a mistake. This happens sometimes; see Mat's answer to the "sulfur and brimstone" question yesterday.
pldrx12 asked:
In MoP we will have to chosse a "tier" of talents each 15 levels. That makes 6 for 90 levels. But what will happen with future expansions that "probably" will contain less than 15 levels? They will have no new "tier" or will it imply to somehow rebuild the talent system ? (Hopefully they will containt 15 levels :D)
Every iteration of the talent system has problems, but this one can be fixed simply by changing the levels at which you get new talent points. Don't count on the expansion after MoP taking you to level 105.
JA asked:
Sometimes while queued up for LFR I tab out while I wait... I have missed my queue pop, but it dropped me in the raid anyways without me accepting. Why would it still drop me in the raid without accepting?
You're automatically added to a Raid Finder group unless you explicitly decline it via the prompt. I imagine it's to expedite group formation.

Is it just me or does Deathwing seem to fluxuate in size? I mean, he's always been big but, to me at least, he never seemed so big where 25 people only take up a small portion of his back or that his jaw alone seems as big as an aspect.
Imnick Jan 22nd 2012 12:22PM
Dragon Aspects are capable of changing their size whenever they feel like it
ZodiacDragons Jan 22nd 2012 12:27PM
Then why didnt the other Aspects make themselves bigger than deathwing to crush him? or why didn't deathwing just shrink so that 25 people wouldn't fit on the small of his back.
Ullaana Jan 22nd 2012 12:35PM
Zodiac,
Crazy dragon not think straight?
Imnick Jan 22nd 2012 12:40PM
Because there's an upper limit
And Deathwing was the biggest one
And as the quotes imply when you are on his back, he doesn't even care that you're there

A wizard did it.

I always thought that they were saying something along the lines of "forsaking the light." Like they are cursed beings who are turned into wolves and wolves howl at the moon and they were trying to turn away from that life...or something...
SR Jan 22nd 2012 2:29PM
Don't let the Light hear them say that; they won't be able to become priests!
Stella Jan 22nd 2012 12:17PM
Astronomers.
DancePuppets Jan 22nd 2012 12:17PM
That would be an astronomer, not an astrologer. We're pretty touchy about that as astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects and astrology is, to put it bluntly, nonsense.

That LFR question: I did that the other day unintentionally... I was AFK the entire time and died during the pull-in part of the 1st boss of DS. I felt really bad, but no one even said anything. At all. Thankfully I could not roll on the items, even though there was something I wanted, I wouldn't have wanted to won it that way; I just would have passed anyway.
Eyhk Jan 23rd 2012 9:44AM
I put in a ticket and the gm replied that it was a known issue. Hopefully it will fixed to follow the LFD rules of simply removing you from queue.

I once got in while eating. I came back to the computer and they were at Morchok, and saying to kick me. I got on my horse pretty quick lol
Imnick Jan 22nd 2012 12:21PM
Well they're werewolves so maybe they are able to think most clearly during the new moon, as it's the opposite of a full moon!
Of course Azerothian Worgen aren't actually lunar shape changers but that's my silly explanation.
It is slightly confusing as to why someone would hope for more levels though. The level number is really just an arbitrary value and you'd be getting the same amount of content regardless of how many times it incremented your level value.
There's no reason why Blizzard would actually stop at level 100 as they clearly don't mind ending on numbers that aren't nice and round (like 85!) but just in case someone decides that they should, I'd like as few levels per expansion as possible so I can have more of them ;)
Ullaana Jan 22nd 2012 12:33PM
Imnick,
Werewolves can change shape anytime. Those who survive a bite from a werewolf are subject to the lunar cycle.
Imnick Jan 22nd 2012 12:34PM
I wasn't aware that there was a universally accepted definition 0:
razion Jan 22nd 2012 12:39PM
I thought that was more of the point too--that the full moon *represents* primal madness (predators can hunt better when there is more light, right?), whereas a new moon would represent the opposite. A dormant intelligence, and thus a clear way of thought and guidance. While the new moon wouldn't literally give you light, it would "guide" you more than a full moon could ever hope to. It would steer you away from madness and those hunting urges.
Another explanation is that they're not really referring to moon phases, but rather that "new" would mean that they see the moon in a new way (such as seeing it as representation of Elune, due to their new Night Elf allies, and can as such respect or even worship it to an extent in a 'new' way). There are a lot of explanations, and I think jumping to any single one and assuming there wasn't any real intent behind the line given (and even considering it a mistake) would be quite foolish.
I always tend to try and make sense of things before just assuming they're wrong. It's a habit that's done me well for a long time. I'm fairly nit-picky by nature (and as such little things like this can tend to bother me), and I find the habit does me well of making it less of an issue in-game when I can just rationalize them.
Ullaana Jan 22nd 2012 12:42PM
Check this for the"definitive" description of werewolves. And yes, this is intended to be tongue in cheek.
Silversol Jan 22nd 2012 7:10PM
So, New Moon = werewolves
Full Moon = therewolves (since you can see them)
Previous expansions = wallwolves(?)
Vacasta Jan 22nd 2012 12:23PM
Stupid cosmetic question, but if I hit Z to draw my weapon outside of combat, does everyone see that? Or us it just client-side?
