As someone currently on phase 3 of the legendary staff... I am wholeheartedly in favour of your first suggestion. I'm looking forward to being able to show off the legendary, both for dps and because it looks awesome... but it's kind of lame that the guild can't make any progress on the legendary achievement unless I'm there, and extra-lame that I could make twice the progress finding a 25m pug (assuming I could find one that was halfway competent, which is, granted, probably not as easy as it sounds) as opposed to doing FL with my guild. Though, speaking as someone who also had to leave my first guild due to its complete inactivity... it *would* be sort of sad knowing that, if I ever had to do that again, and I had a legendary, the legendary would hang out in the gbank, despite nobody ever even looking in it.
