The giant lumbering stone monstrosity lurched towards Wyrmrest Temple, stomping at the road beneath his heels and leaving large marks as he trampled the stone. He grunted with each footstep, moving closer and closer to the temple. Overhead, dragons engaged in battle. Hundreds of smaller elementals engaged dragonkin across the snow-covered battlefield, but Morchok pressed onwards, moving closer and closer to his destination. He was less than thirty seconds from the entrance when it happened. There was a flash of light and the sky turned a dark purple colour. The dragons, dragonkin and elementals disappeared and it looked like he was alone. Morchok turned slowly to face the long road behind him, only to discover there was a ghost stood behind him. The Echo of Jaina sized him up and he grunted."No mortal shall turn me from my task!"With a solemn, emotionless expression, Jaina looked away from him."Such violence. Such rage. I am sorry."Morchok stampeded towards her. Jaina raised an arm and conjured three blades of frost, which travelled down the road towards the giant. Morchok, being a giant, was hit by all three and frozen into a giant ice block. Jaina walked towards him, continuing to look solemn. There was a roar and the ice broke after a few seconds. Morchok approached her and stomped on her astral form, causing her to scream in pain. She muttered a word and an orb of flame shot into the air over Morchok's head, and landed on the ground. Thinking nothing of it, Morchok continued his assault. Before the third stomp, Jaina sighed and Blinked, moving backwards away from him. Suddenly, the untouched flarecore detonated and bathed him in searing flames, causing him to grunt in pain."I apologise, but I cannot let you succeed...so I must consume you with flames..." Jaina sighed."The earth consumes you!" Morchok yelled, as the ground around him began to whirl into the air. Jaina attempted to channel a pyroblast, but was swept off her ghostly feet before she could launch it, being hit by the rocks and dumped at the feet of the monstrosity. Her frown soon turned to agony as a thick black liquid began to gush from Morchok and spread out across the ground. She turned to run as large crystals grew out of the ground, narrowly avoiding the ooze and darting behind one to avoid their flow. She took a few steps back and fired a pyroblast at Morchok, who took the full hit but continued channeling his spell. When he finished, the crystals disappeared and he began to lurch towards her, only to be hit by another set of ice blades and frozen once more. He screamed with rage, breaking out of the block of ice and taking a frostbolt volley to the face. As he continued his assault, despite slower, he summoned a resonating crystal on the ground. Jaina looked at it and a line of energy extended towards her."Flee and perish..." Morchok threatened. Jaina took the hint and Blinked once more, reappearing by the crystal. She closed her eyes as it detonated, but opened them once more afterwards, surprised at the lack of effect from her close proximity. Morchok reached her once more and continued his assault, despite the occasional pyroblast to the face. Jaina was receiving fiercer and fiercer blows with each stomp though, and she knew it. She fired another flarecore into the air, which landed next to them. The giant, remembering what happened before, took a couple of steps and stomped on it with his foot, preventing the explosion."Puny human! Your magic cannot protect you from the very earth itself!" Another resonating crystal appeared across the road. Jaina ran towards it, pausing only to take another stomp. She fired off another set of frost blades at the giant, before reaching the crystal just as it detonated. Morchok broke free of his icy prison once more."Your ice magic only delays the crushing of your body!" "I am faster than you, giant. If I wished to obliterate you, I would not give you these precious minutes.""The rocks tremble..."Morchok whipped up another vortex of earth, pulling Jaina close again. She glared at him."......and you drown in the hate of The Master.""I take relief in that your passing will end your pain" Jaina announced, clicking her fingers and casting a spell. She smiled softly, then Blinked once more out of the black blood reappeared between two large crystals at the edge of the spell. Morchok could see her face while he channelled the spell, unable to move. She was pointing at something. "All will be..." he begun, but then he spotted the glow of the flarecore at his feet. He tried to move to stomp on it, but the spell he was casting was using up all of his concentration and he couldn't."...dust." Jaina announced. The core detonated and the searing flames engulfed Morchok. "Imp...ossible..." Morchok cried out, "This cannot...be..." The giant fell to the ground, lifeless and the ooze faded. The Echo of Jaina turned and walked down the road, across the plains of the snow and out of sight.
