Yes, the hitbox was too tall. Even today, after adjustment, female Tauren still have problems in some areas.

Yeah! Female Taurens actually have the tallest model in the game- male toons are typically taller of course but male taurens are hunched over. There was a period of time where FemTaurs couldn't enter the Battle for Wintergrasp because they couldn't fit in a doorway.
