I originally started on Tichondrius on release day, '04. It was an absolute clunker of a realm, with login queues of over 2 hours (netting me a BOAT-load of free/reimbursed play-time) and some larger-than-life players (Anyone remember Cireth's unapologetic ninja escapades?).
"Tichondrius is not for you" came about because of all the people coming to the original WoW server forums to ask a bunch of questions before re-rolling on the server - "How is faction population balance? What's the best guild? What about progression? Is the economy strong? Any guilds looking for an UD lock?"
When they opened up free-transfers from Tich to Dunemaul in early '05, I posted "Tichondrius is not for me" and never looked back.
