The Queue: Fire safety
Seriously kids, take it from me. This rap is very important.
Fire safety is a must.
Boz asked:
Is there any lore behind the following location north of Seradane in the Hinterlands:
http://wow.joystiq.com/photos/adams-wow-gallery/full/#4770604
I'm trying to figure out if it's some sort of alter or just a grave, or if there is no lore and it's just one of those random bits of eye-candy for flavor. I haven't quested there in awhile, maybe it's been integrated post-Cataclysm?
I believe that one of the world dragons used to spawn there in vanilla WoW. Alas, no more. It's a forgotten relic of a time long ago.
Luotain asked:
I was just wondering...why is Moira claiming the Iron Forge throne for her son and not for herself? Is it in Dwarven law that women can't rule? Was this established pre-Cataclysm, or is Blizzard just afraid to give the Allies an actual female ruler (Jaina doesn't count, she follows Varian)?
Tyrande is the ruler of the night elves (technically Malfy isn't), so I don't think there's some ulterior Blizzard plot. (Hint: There never is in these things.)
Moira always struck me as a Cersei-like character. I think Kelly gets it right in the comments -- she's playing the long game. She knows that she can't rule effectively, but her kid can. She can pull the strings, just like Cersei Lannister (without the whole brother-lover aspect). HODOR!
Wallacjd asked:
Which feature are we more likely to see first: account-wide mounts, account-wide vanity pets or truly account bound heirloom gear? Also, if we did get that feature for pets and mounts, would my vial of the sands, for example, instantly become available on all my toons?
I suspect we'll be seeing both pets and mounts before heirloom gear. When MoP is released, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see those two features. Mounts are already a big deal, and pets are going to be an even bigger deal with PokeWoW coming out.
Sirn asked:
I have a question regarding buffs in MoP: are the single target caster buff's going by the wayside (DI, FM)? I did some poking around on the blizzard site, and it looks like DI is going to become a 6% spell power increase buff raid wide.
Stuff like warlock's Dark Intent is becoming either raid-wide or going away, which is really too bad, because I love DIing warriors in Raid Finder raids and seeing shadow priests get really mad and rage quitting because of it.
Hey, I'm a warlock. It's OK to be evil like that.

I see your rap about fire safety, and I raise you a jazzy tune about stroke victim care.

Forget shadows. Ferals, I'm telling you!
Disclaimer: Poster is totally not playing a feral druid, honestly.
Silversol Jan 24th 2012 12:38PM
I second this. I am also not a feral druid.
(man with MoP changing the Bear spec name to 'protector'... I'm wondering how long it will take for me to adjust my brain to not call bears feral spec. Although considering I still refer to Justice/Valor points as badges, or badgers, bears will probably always be feral to me.)

I think with more xpac and lore development all races will get acceses to most clases, but there are things that should never exist.
What are ur race/class combos that should never ever exist?
sead Jan 24th 2012 1:16PM
Any Race that has Hooves(Tauren and Draenai) should not be abble to be Rogues.
Hooves make too much noise to sneak around... and they are HUGE when compared to other races!

Happened to me. I had to delete my cache, and cookies for it to get back to the mobile site.
eel5pe Jan 24th 2012 11:27AM
i'm sure its a misclick, but syedah wins the non-sequitur award of the month.

Draenei Warlocks.
Anyone who attempts to argue for their existence doesn't know anything about the Draenei and should be shush.
There's a lot of race/class combo's that can kind-of work, but only as one-off exception based heroes, not for player classes(like human druid - there's no reason a human can't, but they'll be the outliers, not the majority[which is the unchangeable player demographic])
Titusx Jan 24th 2012 12:03PM
Undead Druid shouldn't be.
Gnome shamans (shamans can't be smaller than their totems, its on the rule book that comes with your 1st totem).
Undead paladin. Well, technically a pile of dust IS an undead paladin, but you get the point.
Tauren rogue. Obvious and well documented.
Anything else is fair game. But I will say that I wish there were no more class/race combos added cause that's one of the few things that give flavor to the game.
Silversol Jan 24th 2012 12:41PM
I deleted my cache and cookies and was able to roll a Tauren rogue. Wait, no I wasn't. Who deletes cookies anyhow... and now I want a snickerdoodle.
RogueJedi86 Jan 24th 2012 1:04PM
Titusx, have faith in gnome shaman. If the world gives us gnome shaman, the world will also give them smaller totems to compensate. And imagine how much wackier Gnome Totems would be compared to Goblin ones.
Duerma Jan 24th 2012 1:11PM
No:
Nelf Warlocks
Undead Druids
Goblin Druids
Gnome druids are sketchy at best.
I think a Nelf paladin would be really cool to see if they gave it proper flavor - ie, all the spells and abilities are the same but it uses arcane instead of holy (the power of the moon instead of the sun). It would probably never happen though. :(
Chetti Jan 24th 2012 1:22PM
I agree with undead druids and undead paladins. I really have a hard time wrapping my head around undead priests that are holy/disc. I play an undead shadow priest, and it seems to make sense to me. I'm off-spec disc, but even when *I* play the healing role it seems just ODD, which why I never intended to do that and hardly ever do. I think undead pallys/druids would just be a REAL far stretch with no "dark" option among them.
Nagaina Jan 24th 2012 1:36PM
Three words on the "dark" paladin front:
Forsaken. Retribution. Paladin.
Schadenfreude Jan 24th 2012 1:39PM
Given that hoofed satyrs are often, often rogues, and that the art of stealth seems to be more a case of eldritch concealment magics rather than moving around really quietly, I think tauren/draenei rogues aren't TOO much of a stretch. Especially if we could have different body types in WoW and you could make a skinny tauren.
zfrazier929 Jan 24th 2012 1:51PM
Byron disagrees with your dismissal of the existance of Tauren rogues.
Drakkenfyre Jan 24th 2012 1:53PM
Draenei Warlocks.
If you want Draenei Warlocks, you have never read the backstory of the Draenei. It would be absolutely backwards to the entire starting zone and more.
I could see Draenei Rogues before Warlocks.
Matthew Jan 24th 2012 2:22PM
i think there SHOULD be tauren warlocks - they would be the grimtotem of course, after magatha was punished. . . just like the orc locks were corrupted shaman, the grimtotem would be perfect warlocks.
not our regular friendly neighborhood tauren!
