Backstory: My resto shammy is my raiding main (Normal mode DS Team). Im usually 1st or 2nd on the charts for healing (damn paladin *grumble grumble*). I've always been very lucky with my team as we have two priest for HoH. So if I manage my mana right, I have no prob (mana tide 2x a boss fight and 2 HoH).
Here's the deal. I refused to spec into TC too. After some constant suggestions by our main tank and pally healer (who both also raid with shammys on the side) I put some more thought into it. I originally thought, hey if I'm spamming LB to get mana back, my HPS will drop. Then it hit me..... If I get more mana back through TC, I can drop healing rain more often. BAM! Re-spec'd and never looking back.
Moral of the story: If somebody refuses to re-spec for TC, tell them TC=More healing rain. That might make 'em think twice.
