WoW Moviewatch: Burn it to the Ground
Work Warning: Burn it to the Ground has some suggestive language by Nickelback. Also, it's Nickelback.
Let's get this out of the way: Yes, it's Nickelback. It's also the Horde band that was once L70ETC and whose name I can no longer realistically follow. I get it, OK? And while I really wasn't looking forward to featuring another video containing those two things, Burn it to the Ground managed to get my attention.
RaddarFX says this is his first machinima. If he hadn't said so, I never, ever would have guessed. His control of the models, use of lighting, and general staging of the entire video is absolutely amazing, especially for someone new to the machinima scene.
I'll admit the subject matter didn't make me jump for joy, but RaddarFX's actual execution is so skillful and impressive that I absolutely had to share this video.
You can see it yourself over at Warcraft Movies.

" It's also the Horde band that was once L70ETC and whose name I can no longer realistically follow. "
What did you mean by that? Has L70ETC done something? Did they say something?

They change their name every time the level cap goes up. Plus, for a while, I think they were The Band Formerly Known As L70ETC.

That was really well done. The timing of the animations against the music and lyrics were spot-on and the cameos in the crowd (was it just me or was the entire crowd made up of cameos?) were brilliant.
Bonus points for being the ONLY Nickelback song I can listen to straight through without changing channels.

Blizz! Give us these instruments and animations in game!

I believe, as per last BlizzCon (disregarding the unmentionable and objectionable occurrance there), that they are now the L90ETC
Which makes me happy. :)

Agreed about the Nickleback song. Bout the only one I can listen to straight through. Maybe has something to do with WWE for that. Anyway, LOVED IT! The female dancer's halfway through was a fun, cool touch. AWesome awesome job!

dang.. that was very exquisite graphics.

Very, VERY nicely done! My only criticism is that there weren't any shadows (which there would have been, but it would have been crazy to keep up with angles with all of the light movement, so maybe that's why?) but other than that, great job!

That was fantastic.
A good song, to start with.
A very cool treatment, of that song!

Great machinima
The spotlighting, crowd lighting, cameos, all very good.
The Force is strong in this one :)
Only suggestion: the blood elves dancing backup really didn't contribute (but who am I to judge?)

Some truly amazing camera work in that Machinma. I'm really impressed! I hope the creator makes some more stuff with the same pizazz.
