In my experience, recount is the more accurate mod over skada when comparing to world of logs. The reason it uses up so much resources is that it processes everything, including filtering some things.

I agree with the poster saying damage done matters most; dps itself can be skewed by multiple factors, but it's damage done that makes the difference.

The most accurate thing you can do IMO is to run the world of logs external application that automatically uploads your fights. Then just put the link in raid chat, if the linked dps numbers are off.
