Class based quests are one things that Blizzrad should add back in.Yes...Blizzard says they aren't that cost effective because only one class can do them. My view point is...thats the point. In fact, I'd expand upon class based quests and embrace class based stories if it was possible. Of course, you'd also have to differentiate between factions and races to a degree....an Alliance Paladin should have a different story than a BElf Blood Knight who in turn would differ from a Tauren Sunwalker. But think of the previous quests that you took part in....how they taught you to fight and use your skills. And the TDR questline made excellent use of a solo based instance....think of the Paladins quest to get his mount. What if you had to solo a special version of Scholomance to get it....to defeat Rattlegore through use of ytour anti Undead abilities. Make such a quests a challenge, where gear scaled (as in challenge modes) so it could never be outlevelled....such quests that are optional could and should be intended to be challenging. Not to mention the opportunity to interact with important NPCs in the game...your Orc warrior could be all chummy with Garrosh while your Alliance mage gets sent to learn from Jaina and your Death Knight is sent into his own past and your priest is set a task to teach Anduin some of the finer points of healing magic...or even healing without magic as shown with Gnomish surgeons.Heck, you could even argue that legendaries such as TDR or Sulfuras could be added to the class quest system in some way, with special guild based instances/events.The same is true for other classes. Each should get a story and doing so would make each class have its own story, its own place and impact in the world and by allowing for variance to come in via class quests, the linearity of the zone quests would be far more excusable. And lets epxand that idea to race and faction quests....those epic stories that span multiple zones and levels. Think of Stormwindd....what if they'd developed the Defias storyline so you heard about this mysterious backer, someone in a high place, who helped these rebels, who aided Abercrombie with his necromantic research, who directed the Alliance send an expedition against Zanzil, who had been working behind the scenes for years and was corrupted by Onyxia and so on.......wouldn't the Benedictus storyline have had more impactSo - Cost effective? No. But it is a mechanic which has the potential to offer a great deal to the game. SWTOR does it, and does it fairly well.

Wouldn't people want to do these on all their alts? Sure there are a few people who don't have any alts, but on the same token, there could be people who don't do ANY quests at all when they level. So the argument that they make about it not being cost effective is silly, as most people want to see these quests first hand. And like Mr. Rossi said, these quests make leveling more interesting as you can do something you haven't done before.
