The Queue: Shrimp cycle

Every once in a while, I will get an unstoppable craving for Benihana shrimp that will be impossible to sate until I go to Benihana and get shrimp. I believe I am at the beginning of my shrimp cycle.
@ccbloodworth on Twitter asked:
is it possible that the post-Deathwing construction will be finished in MOP or the lead-in patch? I'm tired of the cranes.
It is very possible that the construction on Stormwind and Orgrimmar might be complete by the time Mists of Pandaria rolls around and that we might get the rebuilding in stages over the course of a few months as part of the in-game launch events. Personally, I would very much like to aid in the reconstruction now that the Deathwing menace has been taken care of. Relative peace has blanketed Azeroth -- at least, you know, the kind of peace that has Azeroth at a stable place in terms of not being utterly consumed by the Old Gods.
@deegeejay on Twitter asked:
Do you think with the success of Transmog, future weapons will be classed as one-hand instead of main-hand to open up more options?
Yes. I fully believe that over the course of the next year or two, the transmogrification rules will become more lax. We might get the main-hand/off-hand/one-hand rules changes first, and more as time goes on. Blizzard is still experimenting with the system, and as it realizes that it wasn't the end-all destruction of the world and in fact endeared people to their characters, gear, and look more than ever, we will get a reduction in rules. Until then, we have to play by the established rules.
The success of the transmogrification system, along with the Raid Finder, are two unprecedented changes and innovations for World of Warcraft that have dramatically altered the focus of the developers and the game itself. We don't see it now, but we will see it soon. The hints have already been given: challenge mode dungeons with cosmetic rewards, raids being accessed and completed by a huge number of new people, and an expansion built around the Wrath principles of fun stuff to do at level cap. We are in for an expansion that looks a lot different than what we have become accustomed to with Cataclysm.
mr.e81 asked:
Theramore is little more than a ghost town these days. I do not think it will be a big loss to the alliance. I am positive that something huge will happen to the Horde since the Garrosh took over and he is hated within his faction.
Theramore may have little significance to players now that we aren't all level 60 and the place isn't the picture-perfect staging ground for an assault on Onyxia's lair that it once was, but the naval city still is extremely important to the Alliance. Not only is Theramore one of the largest coastal ports on Kalimdor for the Alliance, but the road that has been paved through Dustwallow Marsh into the Stonetalon Mountains is a straight roadway from the invasion forces at Theramore to the biggest Alliance offensive front on the continent.
If Theramore falls, the Alliance loses a huge piece of its strategy on Kalimdor. Taking out Theramore isn't exactly taking out the capital of the Alliance invasion, considering night elves from the northern areas of Ashenvale and Azshara are fighting back against their Horde encroachers. The target is still a hugely powerful presence in the region, and destroying Theramore and Jaina's base of operations is only going to anger her and turn displaced refugees into dyed-in-the-wool, Horde-hating citizens of the Alliance.
priestessaur asked:
I didn't think warlocks were capable of shedding tears.
They have a glyph that changes the color of their tears to green.

Shrimp cycle = Prawn Farr?
Fubar Jan 27th 2012 11:14AM
That was terrible and awesome at the same time. Well played.
Killik Jan 27th 2012 11:36AM
Thanks - I'm both proud and ashamed :)

I have a shrimp cycle too! I didn't realize it until you wrote this queue Mat. Something about our new year and the Chinese new year, makes me want to eat it more. Lent is coming up soon too and that is another occasion to be partaking in more seafood, for those who follow it. Shrimp up!

- "They have a glyph that changes the color of their tears to green."
Another one of our many useless minor glyphs. Like Eye of Kilrogg, it modifies something I never, ever, ever use.
(cutaia) Jan 27th 2012 11:17AM
At least it modifies something. You could be a pally. >.>
The Dewd Jan 27th 2012 11:29AM
Eye of Kilrogg made more sense in places like Kara where there were groups of pats around corners that you had to watch out for - at least until everyone outgeared it to the point of AoEing ALL THE THINGS.
lazymangaka Jan 27th 2012 11:38AM
Paladins should have a "Glyph of Clunk" to actually add an audible "thump" to every ability they use.
Saikoujin Jan 27th 2012 12:06PM
The truthfulness of Cutaia's comment makes me want to go cry in a corner and shed sparkling pally tears.

I was going to chime in about how Warriors are in the same boat, but holy hell...ALL Paladin Minor Glyphs reduce the mana cost of 30/60-minute buffs. Nothing else. :\
That is one crappy little boat you folks are in.
Drakkenfyre Jan 27th 2012 1:33PM
As far as Minors go, imagine Hunters.
"Hey, we get a glyph that makes our pet slightly smaller? WTF?"
clundgren Jan 27th 2012 2:20PM
Dude, I would *kill* for a minor glyph that at least had a cool cosmetic effect like that. My minor glyphs ALL reduce the mana cost of spells that you never cast when mana is an issue.
Draelan Jan 27th 2012 3:27PM
You know, I was going to complain about the leaky little boat Hunters are in right now with minor glyphs, but looking at pally minor glyphs, I realize your boat has already sunk. o_O
Drakkenfyre Jan 27th 2012 3:51PM
"Cool cosmestic effect" ?
The glyph literally is barely noticeable.
I am not saying Hunter Minors are worse, but it's literally a pointless glyph, much like your own. Look up the glyph on Wowhead to see the difference.
Most Minors suck anyway. There are a ton of things that could be done with them instead of near-worthless changes some of them do now, and would still fit within the definition of a Minor glyph.
Bapo Jan 27th 2012 4:49PM
If they just brought back the old Hammer of the Righteous, I would be extremely happy, obnoxius sound and all. If they make it a minor glyph, I may actually play prot O.o
arkhan Jan 28th 2012 5:22AM
Didn't Blizzard say some time ago they wanted to introduce more and cooler minor glyphs? That kind of never happened. Along with female demons for warlocks, whoever asked for that.
Nina Katarina Jan 27th 2012 11:10AM
They announced that everyone who took out an annual subscription would get a pass to beta-test Mists. I see an awful lot of Tyrael's Chargers running around. With all these people getting beta keys, aren't we going to have to have more than the usual number of PTRs? Are we going to have waves of beta test invites? How are they going to make it fair?
Puntable Jan 27th 2012 11:18AM
I don't know, but if I'm not able to play the beta as soon as it's available, I'll be very upset.
