People who don't read patch notes at all.Day 1 of patch, in Trade. "What happened to (insert ability)?", "WHEN DID (THING) GET PUT IN?"People who make you wait constantly in groups for whatever reason. Especially if it's a smoker who makes the group wait for 5 minutes every 5 minutes to go outside and smoke."I have to eat dinner/take out the trash/go out in 15 mins. Let's clear this quickly." Why did you join a dungeon that takes an hour or more to clear if you knew you didn't have the time? That one annoying DPS who doesn't click "Ok" when a LFG queue pops, and makes you wait again, after you have been waiting for 20 minutes. Leading the tank to drop, then the DPS is fine, but now you need another tank.Cross-faction players who make a level 1 to sit in your faction capital just to spam how much your faction sucks. You aren't cute."Plz", and just about any other screwed-up shortening that was born out of being too lazy to type three additional letters. Actual shortened words which wouldn't be out of place in a dictionary are fine."Gogogo"People who Need on everything. "But I need gold."People who suggest "classic" servers on the official forums. Sometimes they don't know better, but that subject has been brought up thousands of times, literally. Blizzard said no. It's especially annoying when they reply "But Blizzard has tons of money, they can afford it."People who think the entire world pays the same subscription rate, and multiplies it up to assume how much profit Blizzard makes. No, there are different subscription rates, and there's this thing called operating costs that take money.People who spam DPS meters.People who sit around a city just to show off their mounts (there is a point where this reaches annoyance point. You want to show off your mount? Fine. Ten hours later you are still sitting there? No, now that looks stupid. On my server IF used to be lined with Warbears, and the people would sit there for hours.)Douchbags in any form. This includes being nasty to new players. A low-level Deadmines run? One or more people in the group new? You don't need to act like this is an end-level raid and flip out because some mistakes were made.People who block quest NPC's/vendors/mailboxes.And several more.

"Rez plz"You think? I mean, hey, I just ran all the way back from the graveyard to stare at your corpse in admiration of the artistry in how you chose to hump the floor.

Spamming DPS meters in a PUG, even if I'm the highest DPS. I'll give one warning that I'm leaving if it happens again, and then I leave if it happens again. And DPS meters on starting dungeons? Ragefire Chasm? Really?
1-28-2012 @ 1:59PM
People who only spam dps meters when they are on top. If you're to spam it when you're on top, you sure as hell better spam it when I'm on top, too.

@alysandirI can't stand when people won't run back with the group after a wipe unless they have a fully legitimate excuse, like the hunter in my guild with a baby that needs to be put to bed, or my guild leader who lives with and takes care of his grandfather having to afk a few minutes. "brb bathroom" is just an excuse for not running back, and I'll just let you continue tanking the floor boss

@Lordmajeh and AlysanderThere is another reason for not running back - on some dungeons I ask for a rez because I am dyslexic and always get lost trying to find my way back. I explain this and most healers are cool with it, but some are uber-jerks. Believe me, it's a lot quicker to rez me than wait for an hour and then have to run back to help me find my way back! I know there are a lot of dyslexic folks out there and some may be embarrassed to just say so.

@g.dawsonplus3:I think you will find that the vast majority of healers don't mind resurrecting after a wipe if they are asked politely instead of it being an expectation. The reason for this is that many of us were treated like "heal b*tches" when we first started out, whose sole job was to make sure that the real "rock stars" of the group lived to have their look-at-me-daddy moments. As a result, a lot of healers (yours truly included) have a very low tolerance for arrogant BS. You want to make my life difficult and treat me like I'm your servant? Bye. I'll have another group in a minute or two. Happy trails. But a group that is respectful, earnestly trying, and just struggling/inexperienced? That group I will pick up and put on my back, to see them successfully to the end, no matter how long it takes. So if someone says to me, "Hey, I have to go check on my dad, could I get a rez when I get back" or "I need a bio break, would you mind rezzing me," that's no problem whatsoever. But if someone's been particularly mouthy or conceited, or very clearly had the expectation that he/she didn't have to make the walk of shame because I could rez, I tell them to enjoy the scenery on the way back.

If it's one of your skills, why not use it instead of making everyone trail back and waste more time? Whenever I can, if I have ran back or I feigned death I always try my engineer res on a player to see if it works.

@The Supposedly Dyslexic PlayerThe reason healers are so rude to you is because this sounds like a bunch of horse shit.Conventionally most people are aware of dyslexia, because they know someone who is dyslexic, or have heard of dyslexia. And though I will be the first to admit that there are rarer forms of certain psychological maladies, given that dyslexia is a learning disability defined by difficulty reading text it sounds like you're using it as an excuse. Most dyslexics show higher than average spatial awareness, which means that if your problem is processing instructions given by party members in text, you should rely on your map and if needed voice instructions via a chat program like mumble or vent.Don't get me wrong, I still have problems navigating Maraudon and I've been playing this game since just after launch, so I get it. Sometimes, it's a pain in the ass. I'm sorry if your dyslexia is of the rather rare kind, that impairs your navigational skills, but if that's the case, you should speak with your doctor. Maybe it's not dyslexia you suffer from at all.

@apharrington:I think you may be misunderstanding a bit. If I'm soulstoned, or pre-loaded with a brez on a certain wipe, of course I pop back up and begin resurrecting the group; but that's not what we're referring to here. What we're talking about is people who very easily could've run back with the rest of the group but instead went and grabbed a smoke, or made a food run, or worst of all, alt-tabbed so they could check Facebook or something equally stupid. Why is this a big deal? For starters, it shows a significant lack of tact. You are all in this as a team, whether its a 5 member team or a 40 member one; you win together, you fail together. Running back together shows solidarity. Refusing to run back without a damn good reason shows elitism or just plain laziness. Look at winning sports teams - after a loss, do they run around pointing fingers and blaming each other? No; only dysfunctional teams do that kind of crap. Typically they'll say it isn't one player who wins, so it can't be one player that costs them the game. Solidarity. Support. Team first. That's a winning attitude.Second, not running back for no good reason wastes the group's time. Let me paint a scenario for you, one that used to happen A LOT. The group wipes, and only the healer makes the corpse run. (I have had players tell me the reason the healer should make the run and rez everyone is because we failed and "let" the party die. Riiiiight.) The healer then has to sit and drink to gain enough mana to start the rez cycle; this is typically when we start getting tells of "rez me," as if we've completely forgotten that we can do that. We get enough mana and start rezzing; in the olden days, we'd frequently have to sit and drink again just to finish all the resurrections. Then, because no one would bother to eat or drink, we'd have to heal everyone, and sit to drink *yet again.* Meanwhile, the tank and DPS would run off and pull the next group while you're sitting at 10% mana. /facepalmNow, if everyone had just run back as a group and ate, you wouldn't have to wait for your healer to drink several times before you could make the next pull, would you? But that kind of common sense seems to escape folks who think of themselves as rock stars instead of team players. Lastly, not running back is typically an excuse to AFK. Sometimes AFKs are necessary; that's life. But when you AFK, unless you're coming right back, often times that leaves the party waiting on you. *Especially* if you've tabbed out to watch funny YouTube videos. And if you didn't AFK and are simply sitting there staring at the screen, what good reason do you have for NOT running back? Yes, there are exceptions to the rule, but the bottom line is, if you don't have a good reason, you are unnecessarily wasting the group's time.TLDR: not running back with the group after a wipe, without a valid reason, wastes time and is widely seen as a sign of a new or inconsiderate player. Don't do it.
