This may sound horrible and I may be downvoted, but hey, just being honest here.
When you get put in a LFD group with someone who doesn’t speak your language.
I’m not saying everyone should speak English. And I understand that there aren’t as many non-English servers as there are English servers, and that the non-English servers sometimes have to be in English battlegroups so they don’t have really long queue times for dungeons. I’m not saying there’s a better solution, I’m just complaining.
For example, the other day I was grouped with a Portugese player. He had queued as dps and tank and was given the tank roll, but was pulling all the groups as a caster and just casting starfire (this was a lvl 40 dungeon). We tried to play as long as possible without a real tank, but eventually wiped over and over to a certain boss. We couldn’t vote kick the guy, since apparently some other people had been kicked from the group before I joined. After 20-30 minutes of emotes, pointing, and failed Google translations (and then 20 mins or so of wiping), one of the dps finally left and was replaced by a hunter with a bear pet, and we were finally able to /point Tank then /point Hunter Bear Pet, and he got it, went bear form, and finished the dungeon.
I will say it was a nice sense of accomplishment to overcome language barriers, but honestly that run took substantially longer than it should have and we were all pretty frustrated by the end of it. And as annoying as it was for us, it was probably a lot worse for him, as he could clearly tell that we were not pleased with him, but he didn’t know why.
I know Blizz is doing its best with a non-ideal situation. I can’t think of any better way to do it, but that’s one of my current pet peeves.
