Ah, Fangtooth...brings back memories. Not to speak ill of anyone just trying to do their job, but when you disappear without comment for months on end, only surfacing to reply in support of known trolls demanding that paladins are fine or are in need of nerfs, or when you ask the community for honest feedback, resulting in pages and pages of intricate and well thought out observations and suggestions, none of which were acted on...what reaction did Blizzard honestly expect of the paladin community? Flowers and a Whitman's Sampler?

I remember a particular topic. The OP put forth what must have been years worth of community complaints, explained the background for each and provided polite feedback.Ghostcrawler jumped into the topic, whined childishly about the OP apparently being nasty and then locked it without further comment.

That whole thing was kind of like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundred_Flowers_CampaignThey were like "give us feedback =D" and then people were like "this stuff needs some improvement" and then they were like "fucking rightists, TO REEDUCATION FOR YOU"

@Saeadame:Agreed. I recall stuff being said like, "If your class has a healing spec, and you're not healing in endgame, you're just being selfish. If you don't want to heal at endgame, don't roll a class with a healing spec." Which was particularly amusing since you were basically retribution all the way through about level 53-54 before having, by necessity, to change over to holy, meaning your level experience and your endgame experience were two completely different things. But then, Blizzard did actually say at one time that the intent behind ret was leveling, not doing endgame DPS. And prot? "We don't feel that paladins need a taunt to fill their intended role." /headdeskSee all the crap you new guys missed? You think ret's bad now? It used to be in the snow, uphill, both ways.

Come to think of it, we didn't really do a lot of healing in endgame either, or at least raiding. We had one key mapped to BuffAhoy, one key mapped to Decursive, and one key mapped to "heal highest priority target" in Healbot. Between encounters you spammed the first button; during encounters you spammed the second button; and if there was absolutely nothing else to do, you spammed the third button.Yes, I too was a "hardcore" old school raider. ^_^
