Using the top guilds in the game is not very representative of the game as a whole. On my server out of 90 guilds with progress on DS, only 6 are 25 man. That's less than 7%. That seems to be a pretty good indication that for the majority of players and guilds, 10 man is the way to go. I don't think 25 man will die completely unless Blizzard kills it, but it has quickly become the minority.
