I don't know what everyone is talking about, I absolutely adore healing as a holy paladin, where before in wrath I couldn't stand it, it encourages far more observation and contribution on my part outside of some buff upkeep between spamming a button on one guy through an entire encounter.
I have some minor complaints about holy radiance in regards to spell interaction, among a few other things, but as far as the class is concerned it really enriched my experience enough to be worth aiming at being the top of my game.
As for healing overall? The actual "Healer" fights were always more annoying than compelling, Chimaeron was just overly intense for me, Baleroc was more communication than actual skill, and you may think Ultraxion is the healer fight when in reality Heroic Yor' is more in that line as far as annoying healer mechanics go--albeit I find it the least annoying.
All in all? Cata is what made me switch to healing as a mainspec.
