Patch 4.3.2 released today, launch your clients early [Updated patch notes]

But we have to put this in bold:
This mandatory optimization can take some time. Launch your game clients early.
Don't expect to open up WoW at 7:55 p.m. tonight and be ready for the raid at 8. Right now, my optimization has been taking well over 30 minutes.
Update 8:15 p.m. EDT New patch notes released today, updated after the break.
Table of Contents
- Classes
- Dungeons and Raids
- Items
- User Interface
Classes: General
- Vengeance is no longer triggered by receiving damage from other players.
Druids
- The Tier 13 Balance Druid 4-piece bonus now also increases the damage of Starsurge by 10%, in addition to its current effect.
Hunters
- Aspect of the Hawk now grants roughly 35% more attack power.
- Deterrence now also reduces damage taken by 30% while active.
- Black Arrow now ticks every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, as opposed to every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. The total damage dealt by the ability is unchanged.
- Lock and Load no longer benefits Arcane Shot, nor is it consumed by Arcane Shot.
Mages
- Fireball damage has been reduced by roughly 6%.
- Pyroblast initial damage has been reduced by roughly 6%. Damage over time is unchanged.
Paladins
- Holy Radiance now costs 40% of base mana, up from 35%.
Priests
- Mass Dispel should again prefer dispelling targets that have magic effects that can be dispelled.
Rogues
- Adrenaline Rush no longer triggers a global cooldown.
Dungeons & Raids
- You can now form same-faction raids with Real ID friends, allowing you to enter Raid Finder in groups larger than 5, run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds. You will not yet be able to run normal or heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm raids of Real ID friends.
- Several typo fixes and clarified descriptions have been added to the Dungeon Journal entries for Dragon Soul.
- Players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single Raid Finder boss kill. For example, a player who chooses Need on two set piece tokens or two weapons and wins the first, will not be eligible for the second on that particular boss.
-
Baradin Hold
- The roaming Eyes of Occu'thar have been replaced by hateful creatures who serve Alizabal.
-
Dragon Soul
-
Yor'sahj the Unsleeping
- The Shaman spell Unleash Life now properly only triggers Deep Corruption on its target. Previously, this affected both the caster and the target.
-
Warmaster Blackhorn
- The visual warning for Twilight Elites' Blade Rush should be easier to see.
-
Spine of Deathwing
- Burning Tendons health has been reduced by 15% in 10- and 25-player Heroic mode. This change eases the burst damage requirement to complete the encounter, which should allow players to make use of more varied raid compositions.
-
Madness of Deathwing
- The Priest spell Leap of Faith is no longer usable while under the effect of Carrying Winds.
-
Yor'sahj the Unsleeping
Items
- Vial of Shadows damage (Lightning Strike) has been reduced to approximately one-third of previous damage. However, it will now trigger approximately 3 times as often. This is intended to keep overall DPS the same while reducing burst damage, especially in PvP.
- Maw of the Dragonlord can now have its effect triggered by healing from Holy Word: Sanctuary.
User Interface
- Fixed a bug that caused the Mature Language Filter to reset on exit.
- A notice is now displayed 15 minutes prior to the player being disconnected by parental controls.

Thanks for the warning! I play on satellite inter :-( and my downloads are limited and slow. This notice really helped me out!

Not only does the optimization take a long time, but it looks like we're required to download another 1.4 gigs afterwards. I thought this was supposed to reduce the amount of disk space used.

@Simpsons Rule
The amount of patching after the optimization varies from person to person, and seems to be related to the optimizer replacing corrupted files. Most people only have to download a few MBs (which I assume is just the patch), while some on the forums are reporting having to download as much as 16gb. There's no way to know until after the optimizer is done, unfortunately, but it is something people should be aware of.

My own patching is downloading 6GB of data. 4.9 from the yellow step, 1.1 from the green step.
Crimpshrine Jan 31st 2012 1:00PM
The downloaded data is mostly replacing old data, not adding to it.

Oh Lord if it's hughesnet you should plan on getting up at 2 am as it appears to be a big one. Been there and thank god done with them!

I had to download another 1.6Gig after the optimization... but I'd like to point out that optimization freed up almost 15 Gig of space... fair trade IMO.
thebl4ckd0g Jan 31st 2012 2:59PM
my download wasn't all that big. Only a few hundred meg or so. Guess I was lucky.
But the optimization did take about 25-30 mins. :x
Jeff (Not that one ^ ) Jan 31st 2012 11:38PM
Optimization here took about 1h10m. Upon that, I disovered I needed to re-download 1.3GB, which amounts, in size, to basically re-downloading the 4.3 patch.
I'm really curious if their "optimized" installation is really any better than the previous installation. If it's better, is it enough to justify their forcing me to re-download content just so it's "optimal"? This is horribly inconvenient.

I have to download 15.1GB.

I won't be able to check my home PC until later -- is the 64-bit (x64) client out yet?
Adam Holisky Jan 31st 2012 10:24AM
Once I know more about the 64-bit client and am able to verify it's working on my machine, I'll either make a new post or update this one.
G01851 Jan 31st 2012 10:35AM
According to a post on the official forums, there will be download info for the 64bit client in the tech support forums once it is available.

What about DMF quest turn-ins? I hope they fix the "You have already completed this quest" errors before next DMF. :( We already lost a month!
Ailuvan Jan 31st 2012 11:33AM
Iirc, there was a blue post that this had already been fixed, but was done so during the most recent DMF, and so "not in time" for people who already had the quests to get them again.
jazz.panther Feb 1st 2012 12:34PM
As a follow up, it appears 4.3.2 did indeed fix these errors. I am now able to accept all of the DMF quest turn-ins, not just certain ones.

No Client 64 bits?
Ryvers Jan 31st 2012 10:19AM
While the change to preventing people from winning 2 of the same item in the raid finder is a welcome one, it still doesn't fix the problem of people who are already wearing set pieces and rolling need on the token anyway, either for an off-spec or even worse, to sell or disenchant. I've lost plenty of set pieces already to people wearing better gear and its frustrating to say the least!
Moeru Jan 31st 2012 10:23AM
No one's forcing you to play with bad people. Just don't go.
