The size reduction is nice, but I am looking forward to the decreased loading times. SW used to load in seconds. Now it's like 30 seconds, without an SSD.
I also really wish they would change how the game caches stuff. You know the launcher saying "Performing optimizations" or something like that? What it's doing is decompressing files out of some of the MPQ files, and copying them to a cache file. Mostly audio. Why the game was changed to copy already existing files to another file when it's run, I don't know. Those cache files get up to 10GB. And it's not like it saves time. It has to decompress them on loading anyway. It seems pointless to copy existing files. It was a change put into place with Cataclysm, maybe it's related to the streaming patcher. I don't know if it's been changed with today's patch.
