Patch 4.3.2: Hurrah! Druid flight form physics fixed

But when patch 4.3 hit, we were disappointed to discover that this marvelous little trick was no longer possible. No matter the angle in flight form, you'd drop straight down as soon as you'd left it, which resulted in an unexpected death for yours truly flying over the border to Un'Goro on an archaeology run. You never really appreciate the laws of physics until they're not there anymore.
But no longer! As of patch 4.3.2, the momentum after leaving flight form is back. Bears are once again able to soar majestically over mountainsides, and I am able to free fall over the Un'Goro rim without going splat on the border. Thank you, Blizzard!

Best fix ever. I totally thought the 4.3 change was "working as intended" but I'm so glad to see that isn't the case.

A lot of druids (including myself) made a big deal about it in the forums and finally got a blue post saying that it was a bug. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3657606368?page=5#86
Once I heard that the water jumping was no longer working, I knew they must've done something to the physics but didn't have time to check on my druid. Glad to see it's finally back!

And to replace that bug, the best Warlock bug to ever grace Azeroth has occurred. Long live the jump wings!

Yeah I noticed that last night. I hope they leave it.

Explique?

While wearing or transmogged to the T6 helm and it's look-a-likes, everytime you jump or use /roar it activates the special wing proc.

YES. This piece of news is the greatest ever. Now I can go once again go about sailing across the skies of Org as an aptly named "Terminal Velocity Bear".

Now if only they'd fix the spastic aquatic form in Vashj'ir

You mean you don't like be able to move a million a miles an hour, even while in combat, looking like you're having a grand mal seizure all the way?

Crackatee awaaaaay!

I actually love that lol, I just wish Blizzard didn't make the animation speed directly proportional to your movement speed. There needs to be an upper limit to how fast you can flap your flippers!

@Allison Robert
I don't want to sound ignorant but could you clarify what this fix does? I'm used to flying on my drake and not in my flight form so I'm a little confuzzled by this, but it's still great nonetheless

Before 4.3, when leaving flight form mid-flight, you would keep some forward momentum and take an arc pattern while falling. once 4.3 hit, after leaving form mid flight, your momentum would be cleared, and you would fall straight down. this fix reverted it to its pre-4.3 physics.

More specifically, when dismounting (or cancelling flight form between 4.3 and 4.3.2), your horizontal speed is cut from your flying speed to your run speed (not quite a straight drop). Druids once again travel forward in free fall at their flying speed.
I'm happy to see this reverted. Cancelling flight form to drop some altitude and then recasting it felt like riding in a car with someone who didn't know how to use a manual transmission.

(hoping this isn't a double post - I think NoScript ate the first one)
