WoW Moviewatch: RP-PvP events on Defias Brotherhood

A common complaint on official forums is that world PvP is dead. (For those who don't know, world PvP is the phenomenon wherein multiple characters flag and fight wherever they happen to be standing. Tol Barad doesn't really count.) I'm a big fan of this video because it proves world PvP is still viable; it can happen, if you're dedicated enough to getting out there and doing it.

nice video! a smattering of thoughts:
1) I bet 99% of players don't even know what button you press to RP-walk. I sure as hell don't.
2) I of course liked all the dramatic walking scenes, but it also made me think "don't they know we can fly in Azeroth now?"
3) This just confirms one of the items on my WoW bucket list: roll in an RP guild on an RP-PVP server.

I can assure you that the server is really great! Good bunch of rp-guilds and some good activity as well. It's great talking amidst rp-ers and recognizing certain guilds or persons who got quite a reputation!

If you join Defias and make an Orc, join the Orcs of the Red Blade!

That was pretty awesome. I've always preferred open world PVP to structured PVP, we just don't see it much anymore on Thorium Brotherhood. Any horde guilds on server want to try to pull something together, have your ally-alt drop me a note. :)

We had one of these just last week on Moon Guard. About 4 or 5 guilds on each side clashing at a few locations on set dates.

Moon Guard has some awesome RP-PVP events too! (Not just the erp in Goldshire it is unfortunatelly known for) There are a bunch of great guilds both on Horde and Ally. World PVP can be found almost daily and RP is rampant all over. If you're thinking or re-rolling on an RP server keep Moon Guard in mind. :)

Excellent! You know, nothing is more badass than having people that know each other, but are on opposing factions, organize large groups of players and meet at, currently lore-wise, hot spots of battle and RP a campaign to take over the place, sort of like the World PVP (a la Wintergrasp and Tol Barad) but better, because there is no gimmick, just two sides fighting for control of the territory. Downed players would ofcourse have to agree to stay down.
