Awhile back I helped out a guildie with a rep run in a normal cata dungeon. The guildie then had to go (pesky IRL interfering with important things like, uhm ... digital octopi) and since I had all the time in the world - dreading an archaeology grind in fact - i went along to the next dungeon. Now, I was on an 85 mage (roughly 15-17 K DPS) and the rest was between 81-83. I didn't get anything save loot but you know what?
It didn't matter. Especially when I burned down the last 300 K of Romogg while the others lay dead around me (cheering, btw). It was a kamikaze fight but that didn't matter. Because:
It. Was. Fun. Smiles and jokes all around, including Monty Python-esque threats before the bosses (don't do that; bosses obviously _hates_ Monty Python, it aggro'd them every single time).
DPS didn't matter. The company did. Try it sometime :)
