Since the combat log is pretty much the basis for every single online RPG ever, going all the way back to text muds, that is going to be a virtual impossibility.
Recount is like an automobile. Most people have it and use it daily, but there's a whole helluva lot of really bad drivers out there that make life hell for the rest of the driving public. Same with recount.
Also, recount and combat parsers are a big reason why a lot of us like playing wow. We're competitive by nature, and recount is our stat sheet. I truly believe breaking recount (if it were even possible) would do far, far more harm than good. Imagine my automobile example - let's take away all of them. Back to the horse and buggy, and bicycles for everyone? Might be better for the environment, but everyone's quality of life would drastically decrease.
