I agree that the new talent system will prove to be a great boon to WoW but the pared down talent trees really scares me. I don't know why Blizzard couldn't have just made all the "required" talents part of your specialization and kept the other "fun" talents in. Would make a whole lot more sense to me. First of all, it would've created less uproar because they're still talent TREES instead of a talent...whatever it is. Second, it preserves the flavor of each spec because there's less homogenization between specs. Lastly, it still accomplishes Blizzard's goal of choice.
