Addons that you wish were still around

What AVR did is not doable anymore, since Blizzard removed the ability for addons to do the type of "drawing" on the world that it showcased. Other addons like Antiarc's Poison Swapper were just too powerful and forced Blizzard's hand in changing the way rogue poisons work.
Addons have a rich history in World of Warcraft, with many of our favorites gone the way of the dinosaurs. Which addons, for better or worse, do you wish were still in game? Any addons that you miss from the early days like Cosmos and player-made minigames? Sound off in the comments.

Necrosis LDC. It was the very first addon I used with my baby Warlock. Fortexorcist does a lot of the same stuff nowadays, but I still miss that "Shadowtrance!"

In that vein, Cryolysis and Serenity (mage and priest versions). I used Cryolysis until it utterly broke. Serenity broke earlier, sadly.

I still use it with my warlock, it works fine except for the soulshards.

like Ruana said the mage version of that was AMAZING.

I AM SUMMONING A STEED OF NIGHTMARE!

I was sad to see finalfantilization disappear from curse addons. I always enjoyed hearing my favorite final fantasy themes traveling between zones.

comix does that and other fun sounds

That was more of a legal thing than anything I want to say. The addon is still out there but you have to use your own music now.

I made the mistake of deleting mine when it had the Metal Gear Solid OST pack :(

Is Guppet being properly updated these days? Because if not, someone should take the reins of that project...
Moeru Feb 8th 2012 3:23PM
I'm still using it no problem. When did they stop updating it or did it just break for you?
priestessaur Feb 8th 2012 3:49PM
Guppet is the best mount\pet addon that I have found. It still works and has been updated for 4.3, but new mount & pet codes come out slowly. I just add them manually.

Gypsymod. I loved the simplicity and how much smaller it was than x-perl.
Znuff Feb 8th 2012 4:09PM
If you're using X-Perl you should really start looking for replacements. It's been on life support for quite a while now.
Liv Feb 8th 2012 9:21PM
Any suggestions for what to replace it with? Or is the default UI good enough so you can just use that now?
Jodi Feb 9th 2012 8:34AM
I need to go through and replace most of my mods. A bunch were already on life support before the 6 month break I just took, I think most are broken at this point.

Seeing the druid healer in permatree makes me a little melancholy... :-(
Marcosius Feb 8th 2012 3:17PM
I really miss trollizer/dwarvenizer because I suck at emulating any kind of dialects. There's sort of a replacement called Tongues but it's not as customizable as I'd like. :/
My list is mostly RP addons probably, by the way. Altough I'd be pretty miffed if say DBM would get squashed.
Shinae Feb 8th 2012 3:45PM
DBM is indeed awesome. The first time my guild fought Alizibal, we all started laughing in Mumble when she started blade-dancing because we all heard "BOOOONESTORRRRRM!!!" (My guild raided ICC a lot in Wrath.) I should find a way to turn back on the Cthun whispers whenever I get an arch keystone; for a while, I thought it was the game itself doing that.
I really need to actually start using an RP addon and leave it on. I keep disabling it when I want it out of the way then forgetting to reenable.
Dementron Feb 8th 2012 9:33PM
@Shinae I miss the C'thun whispers too. They made Archaeology slightly less boring :(
"Digging, digging, digging, *yawn* digg... WHAT THE HELL?!"
jammiewins Feb 14th 2012 2:57PM
I thought the "Run away little girls... Run away" Sound bite DBM uses was from Sartharion for ages because I rarely had sound on during BC. Woops.
