LFR Winning multiples of items clarification
Our patch note is wrong and we apologize for the confusion. We'll get it updated
Quote:
What i've seen happen was that the winner of the first roll will lose his role bonus for the second roll. if no one has a role bonus on the second role, then the winner of the first item does have a chance to win the second item.

This is correct.
The way it currently works is you'll lose the Need+ roll bonus if you win an item that drops twice from the same boss, but you won't be made completely ineligible to win it twice. If no one else has the Need+ bonus or rolls Need on the item, you'd still win it.
Aftermath: Crown of the Heavens Expansion for WoW TCG
The monsters continue their path of destruction in the latest expansion to the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. Aftermath: Crown of the Heavens follows up on Throne of the Tides, introducing a completely new set of Monster hero races and classes. Players can now control demons, dryads, and ogres, each with exciting powers that will drive completely new deck-building strategies.
In addition to powerful Horde and Alliance allies such as Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage, Tyrande, High Priestess of Elune, and Sylvanas, Queen of the Forsaken, Aftermath: Crown of the Heavens will also introduce more murloc monster cards including an epic murloc.
Each Crown of the Heavens pack has a chance to give you all-new Loot™ including the Corrupted Hippogryph mount, Ogre Mage Costume item, and Gregarious Grell pet.
This set also includes the new tournament-friendly pack and box configuration: 36-pack display supports eight-person draft tournament play out of one box, and the 16-card pack size and configuration improves the limited (sealed and draft) play experience.
You can purchase Crown of the Heavens cards in the Blizzard Online Store:

So as long as we have Judge Zarhym, can we have Bailiff Bashiok?
jaymccowan13 Feb 8th 2012 9:03PM
Can someone explain this Judge Zarhym joke? I feel like I missed something...
vincentmagius Feb 8th 2012 11:28PM
You'd have to go back a couple weeks. He had made a comment about willing to judge a contest. I think it was swimsuit, but I'm too lazy to look back.
Saeadame Feb 9th 2012 12:06AM
I think it was a pagent... if you look back through the Blue Posts posts it should be in the title.
Alysandir Feb 8th 2012 9:25PM
It's Zarhym! And he's been neatly pressed!

i'm loving the crown of the heavens set, but i was kind of disappointed with the heroes. mostly because the alliance and horde hero cards i pulled were from the throne of the tides set. the one monster hero i pulled was from the set as intended (Dryad Druid), but all others clearly say "Throne ###/###" at the bottom.
I wonder if I'm the only one who had that problem :/
zeebu_troll Feb 8th 2012 9:56PM
nevermind, i looked it up. the alliance / horde heroes are going to remain the same for all three blocks of aftermath. the monster heroes are what will be changing up.

What Blizz needs to do now is take away the role bonus from people who already have the item, because what's happening now is that people are rolling need even if they already have it in hopes of getting a trade.
Nadia Feb 9th 2012 6:32AM
This is invalid for tier.
The blues have already told us that the game can't tell if the person rolling has their off-set or not.
I have healing tier on my Priest and roll for Tier in LFR so I can flip to Shadow and do more DPS than Smiting. I am really sick of people yelling at me and kicking me out of LFR because they think I want to use tier to trade.
Nina Katarina Feb 9th 2012 8:36AM
I have full 397 4-pc tier in my tanking set. I roll need on tier in raidfinder because I'm building a ret set. I tank in raidfinder because my dps in ret is still a bit embarassing (tho I hit 29k on Baleroc last night, yay me!), and I like to think I'm a pretty good tank.
Would you rather have me tanking or that dude in full pvp gear? I could queue as ret, it'd probably give me more practice on the fights, but I like to tank raidfinder because I don't die if there's even one healer paying half attention to me.
Luotian Feb 9th 2012 9:00AM
I just want to say I find it REALLY annoying when people feel the need to call others out on this in Raid chat and demand that person be kicked for simply rolling on something they already have.
It's none of your business WHY they're doing it, and if they offer to trade it we can kick them THEN. But the people, and there are a few of them, that claim that people shouldn't roll need for OS are just ridiculous. And I play a hunter so I HAVE no off-spec.
You didn't win. Sit down, shut up, and enjoy the rest of the ride, please.

I do feel that they should just remove the 2-hour trade window in LFR. Let people know, "Hey, be careful with rolls, etc., in LFR because we're not gonna fix it for you." The amount of problems caused by legitimate errors would be far, far, far lower than the amount of problems caused by being able to trade this gear.
The Dewd Feb 9th 2012 11:46AM
@cutaia - And it would stop people from rolling on items to use as trade bait. Yes, I've lost to them and yes, I'm bitter.

I'm old enough to remember finding that kind of haircut utterly beautiful. I just can't for the life of me remember HOW??
Mike Feb 9th 2012 12:35PM
Sadly, I wore a mullet for a little while, but only while it was current content. I just wish I still had the hair to pull it off, if I was so inclined.

Any news on if or when they're going to fix rep gains from the Elders for Lunar Fest, if at all?
I've gotten my 50 Tokens...and none of my rep went up once on my Paladin

For two days now, your blue posts anchor link has only been going to "http://wow.joystiq.com/#blue", which just reloads the whole site. We have to click on Read More to get "inside" to actually read the post. Just thought I'd mention it. :)
