Aside from the red nameplate and health bar above his head, I don't believe Murozond was ever "evil". He's one of the classic tropes of misguided good-guy labeled as bad for doing whatever it takes. He and Illidan should start a club.Confronted with his own death, and the horrors the old gods would unleash, his sanity goes beyond the breaking point and he devotes himself not to protecting the time streams in their current "must happen" form, but to doing anything and everything to prevent those time streams from playing out and bringing about that eventual, horrible end. Nozdormu not only sacrifices himself, but his connection to his flight and his sacred charge, just to try and spare the mortal world from whatever he has seen. Just as Illidan gave up everything and did whatever was necessary to try and protect his people from the corruption of the Legion. Their ends justified the means, if you will. And their reward? Yeah - we kill 'em for the effort.
