What the fight comes down to is how much Benedictus moves. He will be at a massive advantage early on, refreshing his health with each hourglass use and clearing the field of Distortion Bombs. Were he in a full group, he would win hands down. Unfortunately, neither boss has any adds.
Assume Murozond's swings hit for only as much as Benedictus's. Assume Temporal Blast = Righteous Shear and Infinite Breath = Wave of Virtue. It comes down to Distortion Bomb vs Purifying Light. Again, each hourglass charge clears the field of Distortion Bomb while leaving any Purifying Light. Without Thrall in the picture, Benedictus will hit with all three orbs regardless of phase.
As Benedictus presses his early advantage, Murozond will cast Distortion Bomb with increasing frequency, targeting Benedictus with every one. This will force Benedictus to move more and more frequently, giving Murozond the opportunity to hit Benedictus with Temporal Blast and Infinite Breath without having to worry about Righteous Shear or Wave of Virtue. Moreover, if Benedictus is running around, that takes Murozond out of Purifying Light.
If Benedictus had healing mechanics, he might be able to eke out a win. Despite the fact that he's a priest, though, he displays no such skills and as a result we can't give him any - otherwise we could also say Murozond can just go back in time and kill the infant Benedictus, since Murozond is an Infinite Dragon.
