Breakfast Topic: What is your class theme song?
If each class had its own theme song, what would they be? Or at least what genres would each represent them? Some commenters answered with their opinions, but I didn't read them because I wanted to form my own list without anyone's influence.
- Druid Boadicea by Enya It is woodsy with a hint of danger.
- Shaman Down to Earth by Peter Gabriel But I was really tempted by Daniel Radcliffe singing Tom Lehrer's Elements.
- Death knight Du Hast by Rammstein Too obvious?
- Mage Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind and Fire Mages are quite a bit flashy. In fact, I think the next tier set should be based on the costumes from that video.
- Warlock Cold by The Cure I guess The Cure was a pretty obvious choice as well. Fire by Arthur Brown was a runner up.
- Rogue Hide and Seek by Namie Amuro, but only because of the great video Craft of War: Blind, where a rogue really shines.
- Warrior Birth, School, Work, Death by The Godfathers The perfect workhorse song -- though a bit fatalistic.
- Hunter Hunter by Dido I just went literal with this one.
- Paladin Gold by Spandau Ballet because pallies are so shiny. Blood elf paladins get their very own song and video, above.
- Priest Violet by Hole I can't believe I left priests off the list at first! My apologies. Please still heal me.

To be perfectly literal, the Warrior's themesong has to be Blood and Thunder by Mastodon.

I like to believe that the talent was named for the song.

You are not playing a Paladin right if you don't have this song playing in the background:

For Paladins, it should be "Sophia" by The Cruxshadows. Consider the following lyrics:
Through these doubts and through your confusion
Know that you are chosen to this fight
Look to find a soul filled with compassion
Look to see a living source of Light
The rest of the song is just as perfect for paladins!

While not a song for the overall feel of the class, my DK's personal theme song is "I'm Alive" by Becca (anime fans out there may recognize it as one of the ending songs of "Black Butler"). I don't play her as angsty and tortured -- she's forgiven herself of the bad things she was forced to do, and because of this she can laugh, have fun, and be the clumsy sweetheart she was in life.

It's the chorus that really drew me in.
"I'm alive, I'm alive, oh yeah,
Between the good and bad's where you'll find me,
Reaching for heaven!
I will fight, and I'll sleep when I die,
I live my life, I'm alive!"

The true warrior song.

Definitely Jerry Lee Lewis for fire mages. Also contending are Prodigy's "Firestarter" and Storm's "Time to Burn".

I don't play fluffy Belf Pallies and the game won't allow you (yet) to play fluffy Gnome Paladins.
So for Paladins Id say Anvil's Juggernaut of Justice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEZICHQ-4LM fits the bill better.
Their classic Metal on Metal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhpVtNw7hd4 fits Death Knights nicely, too.

Holy Ghost by Rick Ross -

Just for the title, "Fire and Ice" by Pat Benatar. But only because she doesn't have a song called "Fire and Ice and Arcane." :P
But for the mood, I've been looking for a song that references magic or fire and frost elements, is cerebral, playful and either mysterious or explosive for mages and haven't come up with one yet. I'll have to go look some more :)

For Druids, I would have to say anything in Celtic (Since the term "druid" was originally used for Celtic priests)
Derek Feb 18th 2012 2:04AM
C'mon guys, Voodoo Child-Jimi Hendrix for Shamans? That one's a no brainer!
