Heart of the Aspects mount now available for $25

While patch 4.3 was on the PTR, dataminers discovered a pretty slick-looking mount in the game files: the Heart of the Aspects. We all speculated as to how players might receive it, and today we found our answer. You can buy it from the Blizzard Store for $25, adding it to your stable of real-money mounts alongside the Celestial Steed and Winged Guardian.

Update: Blizzard has released their official announcement.

Dammit, I was really hoping this wouldn't happen. I love this model, and I don't want it to end up like another sparklepony. This looks better than those Alexstrasza-esque mounts you can get from Dragon Soul, and all you gotta do is dish out 25 bucks for it. I'm fine with them giving cool mounts on the blizzard store, but this is like, the COOLEST mount. I'm almost mad that they actually did this.

I don't like being "that guy" who's all "That mount was cool until everybody else got it, now it's for noobs and I'm gonna ride my new hardcore unique mount" or whatever. But come on.

Let me help you in your decision: The animations look much different than the existing drake/proto-drake animations and much more like the body type of traditional Chinese dragons (like this: http://www.crystalinks.com/chinesedragon.jpg). So I figure at least one of the Pandaria flying mount(s) will look quite similar to this, probably with more conventional (or if they're being accurate, a lack of) wings and no silly bucket on its head.

I love how this mount, moreso than sparklepony and glowlion, is much more dramatically polarizing for the commenters here.

Poster one: "I hate it."
Poster two: "I MUST HAVE IT."
Poster three: "Worst mount ever."
Poster four: "SOOOO PRETTY....."

I will likely buy it when I make room in the games budget, because hey, new awesome glow. ^_^

i usually dont post something that is purely negative and lacking of any constructive criticism but.. i am just totally disappointed this is a real $$ only mount. who else does this really bum out.

Without meaning to sound overly critical, how would you prefer it to be available? Heroic Deathwing achievement?

I was expecting a Glory of Something achievement myself. It's really cool looking but my server is already flooded with them.

i would rather it be something the best raiders get instead of something any1 can get except me only because i don't have money to throw around on a mount. I would rather it be obtainable by difficult means instead of $$$$ ONLY.

@Dave,

I think your comments above are kind of ironic. You're ok with it being a mount that hardcore raiders get, but not ok with it being something anyone can purchase for money. Your reason - you are NOT one of the people who can afford to purchase it.

So people who can spend hours each week raiding are acceptable, but people who can spend money are not? Just because you aren't one of the people who CAN spend the money?

Hint... it's not all about you

I'll have to see how it looks in game before I make a decision.

I eagerly got the sparklepony, got the flyon after some thought, and now this... thing is making me doubt I'll ever want it.

I'm getting burned out on the purchasable mounts.

its not entirely the same as viewing it in game, but if u click on the store link, they have an animation of the mount, which looks pretty sick. kinda reminds me of serpentera from power rangers :D

damn that sucks. the official blizzard link has the same animation, check if u can see it there. it was just added on this page a few min ago.

Ok. Saw one in game and it's not even close to as glowy as it looks in the picture. It is also a totally different mount than any we currently have in game- it is a slender, longer body style, not unlike some Chinese dragon types. Very cool looking. I still think I will pass, but it looks a lot cooler in game.

I'm sorry, but I'll be passing on this unless I win it or a generous friend is stumped for a birthday present.

It's just a shame that unique, beautiful-looking models like this cost extra, whereas heroic/dungeon/loremaster achievements give reskins or less.
