I love it. I was in SW and did not know about this being a store item. I went wow, that is one awesome dragon mount..bet a panda would cool on it.
So while i was discussing this mount with my GF on skype she looks it up and finds the link for buying it. But she doesn't tell me right away until she was in the queue for it.
Happy Valentines Day to me, she bought me one.

Blizz, this is an insult to those hardcore raiders that work so hard to get HC DW, Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider and hardcore mount collector, by putting the best looking mount in store to sell, u just flash all their hardwork into the toilet, well done......

Why do you think "hardcore" raiders are entitled to the "best looking" mounts? why not casual raiders? why not pvpers? why not people who do so many daily quests? Or who just enjoy messing round in Org/SW?
Why should "your" type of game play be the only type to be rewarded? Sense of entitlement much? Anyone can buy it, if you dont like it, then theres a simple solution, dont buy it.
You may be able to spend 12 hours a week grinding raids or whatever, some of us have jobs but pay our subs too, so want pretty things. To me £17 is nothing, I can easily afford it, so I'll happily pay it. Sorry you cant afford it, but though luck.

Your entire argument is based on your own anecdotal evidence and opinion. There's no objective evidence that this is an insult to hardcore raiders, or that this is the "best looking mount".
If you really really like it, then buy it, but don't make the blanket statement that it's the best looking mount in the game, and that it's an insult to raiders b/c it's a store mount. Personally, I don't think it's the best looking mount, and there are plenty of other comments who do not like the look of it at all. That means that it is certainly not the best looking mount in the game. You may think it is, and that it is a slap in your face, but please do not speak for all the other hard core heroic raiders out there that may not agree with you.
Speaking in hyperbole is fun!

I am a little disappointed that this is a purchasable instead of an achievement mount. I don't mind micro transaction stuff, but this mount in particular would have been a fun little reward for retrieving the dragon soul in the dungeon series.

Can someone please explain to me why it's bad that this is a store bought mount? Is it because not everyone can afford to buy it? Should everyone have access to this mount?
What about other mounts? I'd love a rusted proto-drake, or the phoenix, but I can't commit the time to get those. Shouldn't I have access to those mounts? My time is valuable, and I cannot afford to spend it farming up these awesome mounts. Should there be another way to get those mounts? If we extrapolate this further, we'll come to the conclusion that all mounts should be able to be purchased with $ and awarded in game.
Then what about the people who don't have enough $ or enough time to get the mounts. Shouldn't they have a way to get these cool mounts? Where do you draw the line?

Speaking for myself, I'd say we pay $15 a month for our pixels, and it would be nice getting new pixels through new content rather through an additional fee to our $15 a month.
I have no idea whether my views are a minority or not, but you did ask.

if a datamined mount looks "good", it will be on the blizz store. Glory mounts are just the same old dragons with a different color/hat

This new mount is great and all, but they should stop releasing mounts and pets and focus more on releasing Diablo III. It's lame that the release date has been pushed back so many times while they "fine-tune" some things... They really ought to stop wasting their time on new mounts and get to work on releasing Diablo II and MoP.

I keep asking this guy to bring Krillin back to life, but no luck so far...
