I find the timing of this mount to be very interesting. They put it on the store after the investor conference call, so that means the revenues from this sale will bolster their Q2 earnings. This makes me wonder if they are somehow needing the money. Have subscriptions dropped since 12/31/2011?

Blizzard is in the business of making money, gamers shocked to discover it.
(They announced another 100K subscriber loss in the conference call last week. Feel free to use that in your theories.)

Yeah dude. The few million they will make on this mount will really put them over the edge when they make 100 million+ each month from subs. When they start selling mounts and pets on a monthly basis, and raise the cost to sub, then you will have a viable complaint.
