@Killik--thank you. You summed up my thoughts exactly. Newbs, perk up your earholes, Killik knows his lore. :)
I keep wondering if the "author" of that egregious junk story (yes, I'm a he-betch, deal *sunglasses: descend*) ever played WCIII, or played WoW pre-Wrath.
Sylvanas was kind of a bizarre mama bear up until Cata. She was not warm 'n fuzzy, ever which is probably what's setting off the madonna/whore complex of stupids who can't wrap their minds around non-traditional gender portrayals. She was fiercely protective of the Forsaken, who--well, they were not her rangers but they were HER people, so she'd harass Thrall until he let them into the damn Horde etc.
And now for some reason we have this bologna with Val'kyr soothsaying and Sylvanas not especially caring for her people and oh yes, BREAKING THE PRIME FORSAKEN LAW, i.e. FREE WILL IS SACROSANCT.
She's no saint at ALL, but this stuff in cata, and that short story? It's retarded.
