"If the rogue combat tree could equip, say, polearms and behave like a Blademaster, then I would be playing one."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBh895KdXAUTo be honest, it had always bothered me. In Warcraft 3, Blademasters were Agility-based heroes with Windwalk (stealth) and an emphasis on speed and subterfuge over toughness and in WoW became...Warriors? I would DEFINITELY play a Blademaster Rogue; give it a samurai-like feel and I could see loads of people rolling Rogues who want to be a skillful and agile fighter, but don't like the daggers of normal Rogues or the heavy armor of the Warrior.Similarly, making Demonology a melee tree also makes great sense, since it allows a Warlock to emphasize taking on the power of demons themselves rather than simply commanding them from afar, like the Ascendancy spell Shaman will be getting in Mists. An argument could also be made for Arcane becoming a healing tree (they are, after all, getting a shield talent in Mists that steadily reverses damage that they take over a period of time, an entire set of healing spells could work the same way).I noticed someone else mention that Ghostcrawler doesn't want to change the existing pure classes because people would quit the game if their spec became something completely different...but isn't that what they did to Death Knights? How many Blood DPSers or Dual-Wield Frost tanks do you see running around these days?
