I completely agree with Rossi's core point about roles. The "hybrid tax" *always* struck me as inherently unfair because those of us who like dpsing a certain way are effectively penalized because way back in the day Blizzard decided to bundle healing and tanking specs with our dps specs, rather than with warlocks, for example. If Blizzard had offered a pure plate dps class I would have been all over that, but they don't.So I get one dps tree to work with, unlike the three that "pure" classes get. Okay, fine. But that they should get a built in damage bonus on top of that inherent advantage is grossly unfair.
