Some people said : "Death should have a penalty. If killing the opposing team's healer only meant a 10 second downtime, then how are tanks supposed to die? / Finally killing a healer in a BG only to have them right back in the action doesn't seem like it would be very pleasant."You don't pop up instantly in SW:TOR. For two of the maps there is a delay where you're made to wait behind a barrier until the door opens up. The door is on a timer. Sometimes when you die the door's open and you can waltz out. Other times you have to wait the full duration to get back into the game. WoW's BG's have similar time with the rez timers at graveyards with a similar respawn mechanic.. only that sometimes you miss the rez or the node gets captured and you have to wait at another node for the full duration. What the author is pointing out that the downtime from this in SW:TOR is somewhat less and the WZ's stay more action packed because of that and the smaller maps. The AB style game doesn't have this limitation, but there is a mounted travel time from the re-spawn point to the battleground. This gives slight advantage to the defenders of the east and west spawn points. Those nodes have direct flights paths if they're owned--if not there's a bit of a jog over from the center landing point.
