Why can't all loot be deposited directly into your bags, like it does with loot from bosses?

All i want is group looting. one widow with all items shown. There are so many time sinks in the game already i honestly feel this is one is completely unnecessary now.

? You mean like what happens when you select Auto Loot in the Interface?

Yes! Having to manually loot corpses is unnecessary and really annoying when you're dealing with big AoE situations. Another loot timesaver I'd like to suggest: if "greed" is the only option available to you, it should automatically select it.

Like that, but without the need to click a corpse. The loot would go into your bags when the mob is killed.

tbh I don't mind clicking to loot, just enable aoe loot and we are golden.
And an interface option to enable to auto greed if its the only option available would be nice as well.

If you leave a raid (I'm looking at you LFR!) and you haven't "rolled" on loot then it should automatically "pass" on everything for you...
That right there would speed up LFR loot rolls dramatically!! And to be clear, I am specifically saying you chose to "leave" not if you were DC'd.

@Kole totally agree and tbh it shouldn't be too problematic, if you accidentally dc and you haven't rolled, when you come back in you get the option to roll prompted.
It would also solve some issues with players not wanting to be on the next fight and leaving after the roll gets finished but in mid fight of the next boss, specially problematic if its a tank or your top healer.

I'm with you Faith. AoE loot for the win!

If I do LFR and nothing freaking drops that I need from any of the bosses, I leave without rolling. Meanwhile, If I'm trying to win, I realize people are frustrated they wasted 1-2 hours of their life for nothing. It's not perfect, but the 3 minutes is a perfect time to go get a soda.

The reason why you have to click on a corpse to loot it is to make it harder for the botters to farm gold. This way they can not set up an easy macro that would just autoatack lower level mobs and walk away from the computer for hours on end.

Is an extra click of the mouse too much work? How lazy can players get?

@antieuclid
Greed is never the only option available to you. You can always pass.

raingod has obviously never ran someone through a low level instance.
You know what is more annoying than having to single click through 50 dead mobs 1 at a time, and take every thing off every body just so you can tell if each corps has been looted?
Its having to wait on your nephew who needs the upgrades, mats, and cloth from the instance to finish looting all those bodies before you can pull the next half of the instance.

@Twill It's so hard to press 'pass' before you leave and not waste (5min x 24 =) two hours of other people's time? :p

I do not see how this is so. Bots are working just fine as it is. (I watched a bot farm savage leather in Hyjal until it's bags were full; then it would keep killing mobs but could no longer loot them).
I played on a system once where the sysop would surprise open a chat window with you to say hello (and check to see if you were a bot). It's too bad Blizzard can't do something like that but I realize the time/people/resources involved with a system like that are completely impractical.

I would just settle for being able to click on any part of a mob to loot, not just it's hit box. Those ettins in TwiHi are soooo annoying that way. Gotta click to the left of their feet even though you are standing in their head.
