I think I read something about this in a TFH a long time ago. There's a little scene in South Shore inside of the Durnholde/Caverns of time instance, where a black voidish material had damaged a paladin's hand. The group of paladins and priests decided to destroy the material with the light, and the material absorbed the light. Long story short, they took the fully energized light crystal and used it to forge the Ashbringer.Do you think the material had any connection with the light/dark cycles of the Naruu? How cool would it be to "purify" our next legendary that drops as a void imbued weapon?

I thought it was generally accepted that the Ashbringer was forged from the heart of a naaru, one brought to Azeroth in its corrupted state by orc warlocks during the First or Second War.It's not clear if any of the naaru are aware of this nor what their opinion is on the matter, nor is it known if anyone else in-universe has made the connection (assuming that it isn't a coincidence.)
