I thought the quest hubs were fun (at least spiderside), but can't imagine doing it on a pvp server. Of course, that's also why I would never play on a PvP server, so there's that. :)
But the problem was the rate. To get much of anything after the first days unlock, it'd take a month. If you're an altaholic like myself, it was so beyond tedious it was unbearable after a while. I managed to finish the entire set with 3 alts, and by the time my blacksmith unlocked the plans, not only did I not feel the weapons were worth it, I didn't feel like doing dungeons or anything else with that guy to get the (then untradeable) orbs.
All in all, it was this repetitive game-play for rewards that didn't last that just killed my interest in the game. Not that these dailies were it, but that they simply can't produce content fast enough to keep the game interesting for me. Doing the dailies for a month and a half, burning out so totally, then understanding that there was a long wait before more grinding content was available.
