They can say MoP is about "war" all they want. As a pvp player, I was SEVERELY disappointed during Blizzcon due to the LACK of pvp discussion. There wasn't even a panel about it. All the pvp talk came after.
Sorry, pvp in MoP is an afterthought, just like it is now. It's a mini-game within the greater raiding scene (there's a reason they made separate gear, instanced pvp, and have issues with trying to balance the two). MoP is introducing pokemon battles next, which is the same idea: another mini-game.
If you want quick access to meaningless player killing or ladder matches, WoW is great, and that's not changing, but several other genres (FPS, RTS, and now MOBAs). I play MMOs because they're supposed to be a persistent world where my actions make an impact. In terms of pvp, without being able to capture towns, guard instance entries, or protect their lowbies (which we had in Vanilla WoW), MMO PvP fans are choosing other games over WoW for their fix. If Blizz really was catering to these players, why did they wait until after their biggest press event to reveal them?
