The Queue: Awesome music

I was recently thinking about the music of WoW and how awesome it is, even the old stuff.
Thus, this Queue is dedicated to awesome music.
DarkSpade asked:
Is there any reason why my rogue has all kinds of frame rate issues that my other toons don't? My paladin can pull whole instances when farming for transmog, but my rogue hits 3 fps every other trash pull when running 5 mans. From time to time I get an error saying one of my addons is running in to a lot of errors(naturally it won't say which add on), but I run the same mods on every toon. My rogue runs even less than the others.
Chances are it's a problem with an addon that is doing something special for your rogue. Make sure you have everything updated. That usually solves things for me.
If that doesn't work, however, turn off all your addons and then start turning them on one by one. Eventually you'll find the offending culprit.
Zost asked:
Has there any news, rumors or whispers on the WoW movie?
There has been absolutely nothing new about the WoW movie. All we know really is that Sam Raimi is slated to direct it (but it's been so long since anything has been said, who knows at this point).
Batleth asked:
I'm going to start writing a humorous (and hopefully informative) blog about my experience in the WoW Ironman Challenge. Would this be something that WoW Insider would be interested in? To whom should I send samples?
You can always send in tips and we'll take a look. We get a lot each day and can't promise we'll feature it, but then again ... who knows!
Brian asked:
Will we ever be able to turn off the visual effects of enhants? I mean they are cool but it can ruin a look you may be going for. Or the enchant, such as mending can be really in your face and annoying.
It's something Blizzard is working on. As for when it'll be available, no idea.
Josh asked:
I may go to S. Korea and teach english there for a year. Should i server transfer to a South Korean/Australian server or will the South Korean server be in Korean and will the Australian one work for me?
You can transfer your character to a different region. You can transfer your NA character to an Oceanic server because that's in the same region -- that might work for you. But you can't bring your character to any South Korean-specific servers. If you want to play on a different region's servers, you'll need to re-buy the game in that region, re-level, and so on.

I'm sure that there is some sort of API to get the error message out, however it would take some enthusiastic add-on creator to implement an add-on to give you this information.
Are you said enthusiastic add-on creator? I know I am not, so don't just leave it up to "someone" to do it!

I've been thinking about the Iron Man challenge and read that the only guild you could be in was an Iron Man guild. How does that work? Wouldn't a guild of people doing Iron Man eventually level up like the others, thus giving you perks? Can you turn the leveling off for a guild or are perks okay if you've earned them the Iron-Man way?
Shinae Feb 28th 2012 11:59AM
The Ironman guild on my realm will disband when it dings level 2 then reform.
Noyou Feb 28th 2012 1:26PM
You could always make an iron man guild on your server. I would be surprised if there wasn't a lot of interest.

I had an issue for a few weeks with only one toon. It ended up being my quest tracker. I was tracking too many achievements. Once i turned off the 2 meta achieves i was tracking, my fps shot up.

Why do people find it necessary to sit their huge mounts on top of NPCs? Is their an achievement for the number of players you annoy by blocking a holiday NPC or is it just a simple lack of respect for others?
My general thought is that they lack any human contact in real life and find that any attention they can get, even for being a jerk, is better then being ignored. But I would love to hear from one of these low life NPC sitters to explain what joy they could possibly get from this.
Shinae Feb 28th 2012 12:15PM
There's a macro for that.

...or mailboxes. As a hunter, I should be able to put a round in that mammoth's skull and solve the problem for everyone. Which is getting me thinking...
Is there any possibility Blizzard would consider implementing a server type that takes PVP to the next level, where you can literally attack anyone at any time, regardless of faction? As in, everyone has that Ring of Trials sword over their portrait at all times? I mean obviously you'd get the guards on you if you attacked someone in a city, but still. There are more people I hate in my faction than the other, and one of these days I'd really like to start doing something about it.
I realize it's unlikely - but people would probably be a little more careful about their mounts.
Joakim Feb 28th 2012 12:18PM
The mount thing - it's modern human behaviour. Why should I have to get out of my car to by a hamburger - why should I dismount in front of an NPC to do a hand in? Oh, I'm a bit hungry ... I'll just park my dragon here and order a pizza ... hey, it's that show! Oh, my GF is on MSN, oooh I didn't see that website, no get out of the bookcase you silly cat! just gonna ..
and 1 hour later you return to your dragon. With trade chat flaming about "that stupid sonofa on his giant dragon!".
Puntable Feb 28th 2012 12:51PM
I can think of two easy solutions. Well maybe not solutions but it would help.
1. Interacting with a mailbox or NPC will dismount you.
2. Make Baby Spice a common item again.

I've heard of this being a problem, but in my three years playing on a high population server (Earthen Ring) I actually have not encountered this problem yet. It must be a phenomenon. My sympathies though.
Killik Feb 28th 2012 2:06PM
I always ask them politely to move (which works surprisingly often - sometimes people are dumb rather than malicious).
If that doesn't work, I report 'em for harassment. Which it is.

Since it's a music queue and all...
QftQ:
What's the music piece that plays during the Archbishop Benedictus encounter in Hour of Twilight? Moreover, is there anywhere were we can look up that kind of thing? Wowpedia doesn't seem to have such information, except for some sound files to run in the game.

What is the second important city for both the Alliance and the Horde, next to Stormwind and Orgrimmar? Ironforge for the Allies, or Darnassus? Undercity or Thunder Bluff? I got in a little friendly debate about this with a friend the other day.
Shinae Feb 28th 2012 12:48PM
You have a debate going because it's quite subjective what qualifies as important.
Ironforge has a lot of sentimental value for players, but Darnassus is the strongest base of Alliance operations in Kalimdor (or just off of it), and therefore has more tactical importance to the Alliance. The same can be said for Undercity, having the most tactical importance to the Horde in Eastern Kingdoms.
However, when you consider how dependent troops are on supplies that are shipped by sea (especially for the zep-lacking Alliance), Theramore's pretty important as a port town.
Philster043 Feb 28th 2012 1:19PM
My friend has said he'd quit if the Alliance ever took Undercity (he plays Forsaken) and says it's comparable to Ironforge in that it's too important to its respective faction to ever be taken in the context of the game. Blizzard couldn't and wouldn't do it if they wanted the conflict between the Alliance and Horde to remain tightly contested. He actually compared Darnassus to Hammerfell, and said Ironforge was far too important to be taken by the Horde. I don't think he thought Darnassus was that important to the Alliance, but like you, I agree that it is - it's like England. Hitler couldn't win Europe without getting England. But I have a hard time deciding which is more important to the Alliance, since if Ironforge was taken, that takes away a very powerful ally plus a form of easy transportation across the Eastern Kingdoms via the tram. Not to mention a source of supplies.
I actually think Thunder Bluff is important as well, when you think about it being a strong buffer zone between the Alliance and the Horde. WIthout Thunder Bluff, it's possible that the Horde wouldn't have been able to gain the foothold on Kalimdor that they have so far. But I do agree that the Undercity has more strategic importance. The two factions are playing cat-and-mouse on both continents because of these cities being where they are. But on the other hand, the Horde has very vulnerable relationship with the Forsaken. They don't agree with many of the Forsaken's methods and Lady Sylvanas, and has effectively put them on house arrest. If Thunder Bluff was demolished, and left the Horde with only the Undercity as their powerful ally... who would have the upper hand, the Orcs or the Forsaken?
Killik Feb 28th 2012 2:14PM
Undercity is the Horde's second city. Its massive strategic importance is the reason Sylvanas can get away with pulling so much crap.
Ironforge is probably the second city of the Alliance, if only for sentimental and historical reasons. It used to be the capital, back in the day.
Philster043 Feb 28th 2012 10:21PM
Not really thinking in sentimental and/or historical reasons though. Which would cripple the Alliance more, Ironforge or Darnassus being taken?

Any idea of the size of the incoming patch? Is it going to ruin my raid tonight when everyone goes to log in 5 minutes before raid time and realizes they have a 30 minute download?
Also - is it gonna bork any of my addons?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Cambro Feb 28th 2012 1:18PM
People that raid on Tuesdays should know better than to log in 5 minutes before raid time. :)
Assume some of your addons will be borked, or at minimum you'll need to check the Load Outdated Addons box.
The patch looks to be about 18 MB. Also, the current 64 bit client will break, BUT there is supposed to be an updated 64 bit client. My launcher choked for some reason, but it had finished updating and the 32 bit client is working fine.
