The glyph of the future

For myself, I want a glyph that lets me dual wield polearms with Titan's Grip. I have a Hellreaver, and dang it, I want to swing two of those beasts around. (Well, technically, I have a Kiril, but transmogrification means I get to have a Hellreaver.) I'd also like to see a glyph that reduces the cooldown on Heroic Leap out of combat so that I could use it like Blink, a glyph that caused me to grow every time I hit an enraged state (which is why I grabbed that Kiril that was on the DE chopping block, frankly), and finally, I'm dying for a glyph that makes Mortal Strike automatically add the Rend effect so that I never have to Rend manually again.
What do you, the viewers at home, think? What glyphs do you want to see in... the future!?!? (Imagine this in my best Criswell impression.)

Honestly, I really want pure cosmetic glyphs. It stemmed from the fact I play a warlock and green fire would be awesome, but then I got to thinking of other classes.
I really wouldn't mind if they created glyphs that really changed the look of spells. I know it would take a massive amount of development, but just seeing small things (like green fire) would make it a lot more fun.

WTB Tree Form.
Olania Mar 2nd 2012 7:38PM
There's already Glyph of the Treant.
Nathanyel Mar 2nd 2012 7:50PM
Al means _permanent_ Tree Form.
Noyou Mar 2nd 2012 8:28PM
What they should have done was make the form temporary if you wanted it more powerful via the glyph. Kind of the direct opposite of how it is now.

Glyph of Everlasting Tree Form for President.
Now that would be change I can believe in.

would like to buy the opposite of the tree of life glyph - a glyph that allows moonkin form and aura buffs without looking like a moonkin.
best of both worlds for all druid casters :-)

It could be a glyph that makes a resto druid a tree model like before, and the ToL cooldown could stay the same model as it does currently while unglyphed.

Why do people refuse to understand that the removal of perma-tree was a BUFF? Druids were balanced around always being in tree, because it would be OP to give us a permanent form that made us better than any other healer. So basically, we were forced to be in a limiting form (no offensive or defensive spells, only heals) to be "just as good" as everyone else. It wasn't fun or engaging gameplay.
So now that tree form is a tempoary spell, it actually can be a buff. Whereas before, we were basically stuck with a talent/spell that did nothing but give us a costume (not very fun) or a talent/spell that did things but forced us to limit ourselves in a way another healer didn't have to.
If they can somehow tie it into a purely cosmetic glyph fine. But with the new talent system, who really knows what they can and can't do.

Mmm... glyph of raven swarm for shadow priests? Those guys on the Scarlet side of Dragonblight were freaking cool.

Make it a costume switch, that way it's just a fun thing for those who want it. Done.

But the argument made that healers in tree form could only heal can be flipped to say that boomkins in moonkin form can only dps. If they heal themselves, they drop form. Their moonkin suit provides a buff the way the tree suit provided a buff. I've just recently picked up my resto druid to finish leveling her, its a little weird to think of tree form as a cooldown. I'm glad its there for emergencies, or situations where I know mid-boss fight I can use it because it'll last long enough to get through and just about be ready for the next boss (or I can hope anyway).
I think the big argument was that it was stated that perma-tree was removed so that one form of druid can see their gear all the time. Which, I think is a buncha hooey. But, thats ok. Moonkin form could have been 'sacrificed' to being a cooldown as well, if it had been chosen instead, then Boomkin community would be the ones complaining. Cats and Bears need their forms. Shapeshifting is what makes druids different from the other classes.

I would like a non- static glyph that would allow you to buff a stat of the user's choice by X amount.

"I'm dying for a glyph that makes Mortal Strike automatically add the Rend effect so that I never have to Rend manually again."
Rend is being removed and replaced with the Deep Wounds passive ability which itself will be applied by Mortal Strike, Devastate, and Bloodthirst (as well as by Thunder Clap for Armas and I believe prot as well). so, there's one down.

Useful and entertaining minor glyphs for Paladins. Mana's not a problem, you guys.
Ilmyrn Mar 2nd 2012 7:52PM
Ever since they announced glyphs back int he waning days of BC< I've wanted a glyph to make my Blood Elf Paladin's spells be red instead of yellow. More Blood Knightey, y' know? And I know there are plenty or warlocks that want their fire spells to be green. I'd be okay with that.
Personally, I'd prefer that Prime glyphs be cut entirely. For the vast majority of classes and specs, there are three glyphs that are mathematically superior for your spec. If you're a Ret Paladin, and you don't have Exo, SoT, and TV glyphed, you're WRONG. That's not choice, and that's not fun. That's just extra gold I have to pay for an alt to be ready to run Heroics or raids.
CursedMonk87 Mar 2nd 2012 7:57PM
Oh, specifics? I think they should add Seal/Aura (or whatever one we're left with) effects that can be seen on your character as long as they're active, something akin to Shadowform. More glowy-sparkly-angeley-looking stuff that can be modified with cosmetic/minor glyphs. Guardian of Ancient Kings appearance modifications (female?), actually I think most buffs and CDs (Inquisition, Zealotry, Aura Mastery, etc) could use more obvious spell effects, instead of watching our buff bar or Aura timers to see when we get them or when they end.
I digress, I think more character customization options would be very good for the game. Look at how much everyone loves Transmog. I know it's more data for the servers to process, but being able to change spell/enchant colors, pet skins, add wings and halos, or even just some more RP emotes would serve to diversify the players we see through the world. I know games like Lord of the Rings Online offer new dances, emotes, cosmetic items, pet skins, etc. as quest, world event, and achievement rewards. WoW needs to fill the scenario (sounds like LotRO's Skirmishes) loot tables with something! Make them all minor glyphs, add those to the character panel, voila! No more cookie-cutter characters.
CursedMonk87 Mar 2nd 2012 8:03PM
And yes, Prime Glyphs are being baked into spells or being removed completely. Blizz seems to feel the same way about the thou-shalt-not-skip talents/glyphs and they're attempting to make every choice be up to the player or the fight at hand, not the mathematicians.
I CAN'T WAIT to see what they're doing with the Glyph panel. Almost more than the Talent trees.
Tapukimastra Mar 2nd 2012 8:30PM
I would really like it if we were able to make the little seal/rune/glyph thingy at our feet when we switch auras, permanent. Then again, the fate of Auras in Mists seems unclear so far.
Olania Mar 2nd 2012 7:37PM
How about a "Glyph of Ghost Wolf Doesn't Look Like Crap"?
For that matter, how about "Glyph of Moonkin Form Has as High a Polygon Count as the Moonkin Hatchling Pet"?
Seriously though, I'd like some more glyphs that add different animals for Polymorph (like a skunk, or a deer), and maybe one for Hex (since shaman have so few minor glyphs). Oh, how about a glyph that makes a DK's ghoul into a zombie instead?
