Yeah.. no. As far as I understand it Challenge Mode is going to be a timed run where everybody gets the same gear. That might certainly be interesting for some people, but to imply that it somehow represents a straight up third difficulty setting for heroics is bullshit. It's a completely different ballgame.
I enjoy challenging heroics. I also enjoy long dungeons. What I don't enjoy is the "gogogo" mentality in PUGs, so no, I don't want to "prove my mettle" by racing through dungeons against a clock, I simply want to overcome challenging encounters in 5-man content. But GC's quote pretty much sounds like they are going to make dull VP-mazes like the HoT heroics from now on and if you want a challenge you can do this timerun stuff. Thanks, but no thanks.
