@Revynn "Typically at the end of an expansion, hunters are -swimming- in Hit rating"Typically, yes, but this expansion we actually have to reforge out of other secondary stats into hit because most of our raid gear has crit/haste on it.The main complaint about expertise in MOP is for PvP. Think about it. If we can't cap out both expertise, then our conc shot, which currently still has a 5 second CD in beta, can get dodged our parried, then we have to wait another 5 seconds for it to come back up. Same with scatter shot. Try landing a trap after that - still doable, but much harder. PvP should not be based on RNG. Melee generally stand behind their targets to avoid this, but as hunters we don't really have a choice.I agree that removing minimum range requires some sort of balance, but people are celebrating this like hunters won't have to kite anymore. Mages do not have a minimum range. Do they just stand in melee and keep hitting ice lance? Nope, they still have to kite. Hunters are the same, and the only thing minimum range really solves is LOS issues on maps like Dalaran Sewers and stacking in melee issues on PvE bosses.I have not been checking beta frequently, so forgive me if this has already been implemented/discussed, but unless both expertise and hit are easily cappable - or non-damaging shots like conc, scatter, tranq, etc are not dodgeable - then expertise WILL be a problem for us in MOP.
