Sheesh. I was thinking $40 would be expensive. $349?? /pass.

As a working artist I understand the pricing. The time investment often is a consideration when deciding on the price. The artist has to say, "this is how much my time is worth, and this is how long I've worked on this." That Arthas statue is very detailed and awesome-looking, so I can only imagine how much time it took to make it. So, yeah.

Sideshow stuff is ridiculously expensive. I don't know about the quality of them, but the TF2 Heavy statue they had was slightly cheaper. And extra for a "limited" edition of the BLU Heavy with a different pose.

Sideshow does LOTS of collectible statues, not just Warcraft -- check out the Marvel statues on their website, many are just breathtaking. I've had the opportunity to see plenty of their work in person, and believe me, photos just do not do them justice. They're works of art, and they definitely aren't toys. It's sorta like Franklin Mint for geeks, only higher quality. XD
