My issue has always been the cap being daily. It should have been a weekly cap, period. Daily cap is a biased system to people who actually active 7 days a week. My guild for exaple, capped 3 days a week, we raid 3 days a week. We'd hit daily cap, then piss away THOUSANDS of experience in all the extra bosses we downed, then on off nights barely even get 50% of cap. We didn't do any less work then someone who say took 5 days a week to kill same amount of raid bosses, but yet they got more experience for it.This has gotten further worse with things like heroics being weekly now. Heroics used to be daily, which divided fine in daily exp caps when queuing as guildies. But now when people pound out a bunch in a single day, again it's same problem as raiding, experience gets pissed away while other days suffer, all do to a silly cap system. If ANY cap is used, it should be weekly, just like every other cap in game pretty much is, VP, JP, CP, HP, guild rep. Why not guild experience?

In Blizzards defense- there are 2 reasons I see why to have a daily cap: 1. So you don stay logged on for 24 hours and neglect yourself (I realize people probably do this anyways) 2. People would whine about players who played 24-36 hours straight being some unfair advantage. There should be a point, maybe to help guilds catch up, to remove both caps until the guild hits level 20/25.

eh, not really Noyou. If it was individual maybe. but as a guild i I don't see a guild going "hey we need to grind out weekly cap in 24 hours". MAYBE if they are going for realm first and that week they are going to ding 30 in MoP. But that's going to happen once each expansion maybe? Other then that, there is no real gain in grinding it out like that. You still got a weekly cap. Besides, blizz already oked doing 7 heroics in a row in a single day right?I just hated earning 40k plus guid experience in a single day, 6k of it being used, 34k being pissed away, then not capping 4-5 other days that week. That was a load of crap. Raid bosses were worth 3k. 2 raid bosses is all it needed for a cap. Some raid bosses were worth even more then that, omnotron was worth 12k experience, and the daily cap was 6k? Unless blizzards intent is for you to raid 7 days a week for 30 min a day, to spread the raid exp out into a daily cap. Now they could also make some exceptions, certain activities like grinding quests, heroics, etc can have a daily cap. while other things have a weekly cap, and then both of these apply to a total weekly cap. So something like raiding can apply to weekly cap total but only x number of quests or something. Although realisticly i don't really see the point in even doing that. We'll see what MOP holds. I know new guild levels are being added, not 25 more though probalby only 5 more, but with a great deal amount more exp required to achieve new leels so those 5 take as long as initial 25 did. If same system stays in place though, it'll take is weeks if not months longer to reach 30 then another guild who does the SAME amount of stuff, but spread out over more time. maybe they raid 5 days a week and we do 3, but still kill all the bosses they do for example. you get the point there. :)
