Would that all be Daylight time?
That started last weekend in the states...
ukwest Mar 16th 2012 6:54PM
Looks like they retconned that for you.
murmaiderxx Mar 17th 2012 6:55PM
EST (Eastern Standard Time) might confuse some people, we use that in the states also, which he used EDT instead...clever boy.
Iknal Mar 16th 2012 6:34PM
I know where I'll be at 6 on Monday. :D
Helston Mar 16th 2012 6:37PM
On the east coast of Australia!

Woo, Aussie gamers unite and whatnot.
Is Sydney on DST? Because if not, you guys at WoWinsider can just use "EST" for (most of) Australia's timezone.

3am Monday I will have a tab open to WoW Insider, a tab open to MMO Champ, and a tab open to the official WoW site, and I will be madly mashing refresh on them all. I have Monday off (conveniently, I did not request it; not that much of a dork) and I can't wait. Woo!
wow Mar 17th 2012 9:23AM
You may be interested to know that, for Firefox at least, you can reload certain tabs automatically (I think it's part of the Tab Mix Plus addon). I usually have my favourite sites set to 15 or 30 minutes, but it can go all the way down to every 5 seconds...
That's if the servers haven't already crawled off into a corner of the data centre to cry. I'm guessing there might be some increased traffic that day.
greenthumbs Mar 16th 2012 6:34PM
Psst... It'll be Tuesday in some of those timezones. ;)
Adam Holisky Mar 16th 2012 6:36PM
I don't think so... ? At least not with the time conversion sites I used to check this.
Helston Mar 16th 2012 6:39PM
It won't be Tuesday anywhere in the world, but in Alaska (and maybe some other western USA states, I'm not 100% sure how all the timezones line up) it'll still be Sunday.
jimmybh Mar 16th 2012 6:44PM
Nope, but it will be Sunday in Alaska and Hawaii (and other places east of the International Date Line and west of Pacific Time Zone).
Vsmit00 Mar 16th 2012 6:44PM
If it's 12:01a on Monday, the only places it will be a different day would be Alaska and Hawaii, which would be Sunday. I don't think there's a 24 hour difference between any timezones.
Minstrel Mar 16th 2012 6:49PM
It won't be Tuesday in any time zone, but it'll be Sunday night in Hawaii, since they're 3 hours behind PDT (which is Blizzard's home time zone).
Adam Holisky Mar 16th 2012 6:51PM
Well, right. But we didn't list those time zones. Can't list ever one, only the major ones where we get a lot of traffic from, and from where I know a lot of WoW players are.
Although props to those players living in Alaska and Hawaii. I'm jelly.

So nice and early this nonsense will be over :)
Azrielen Mar 16th 2012 6:39PM
Obviously without giving details, how excited for the new expansion does all this info make you guys that know about it?
Arturis Mar 16th 2012 7:02PM
Cant tell, Blizzard will eat them.
jfofla Mar 16th 2012 7:13PM
This is Alex we are talking about. Nothing excites him.
Arturis Mar 16th 2012 7:18PM
I will say that he definitely has his poker face down pat. My wife and I were at the event as well (on behalf of our site, GameGeex) and though I didn't get a chance to directly talk to Alex, he had the "stoic visage of stone" going on. He may possibly be part stone golem.
Personally speaking, though, I will say that not being able to talk about all the things we saw till Monday is (figuratively) eating me up inside. Monday can not come soon enough.
