Q4tQ: What, exactly, is the lore around Worgen Death Knights? If everything with Gilneas happened around/during/post Cataclysm, how were there in-control worgen in Northrend in Lich King era to be raised as DKs?The story I worked out for my worgen DK involved old Shadowfang Keep and Arugal's worgen, and that he and another (the other of your race you kill in the starting zone for DKs), had escaped, gotten their sanity back, basically, and masqueraded as humans to get into the Stormwind military, and were sent to fight with the Argent Dawn. But I'm curious if there's actually a lore explanation for Worgen DKs.

The "story" you worked out is exactly what's explained in the starting zone, minus the SW military part.If you ever quested in Northrend as Alliance, you would eventually hit Silverbrook. You do a whole series of quests, but something is wrong. You find the messenger from the camp who sent you missing. He is rescued by you, as you and him escape from the camp on horse back. The entire village are Worgen. They appear as men during the day, and Worgen during the night. It's Worgen like those, in addition to Arugal himself summoning them for the Lich King, that can explain what they are doing in Northrend.
