WRUP: Mists of Pandaria spoiler alert

Oh my God, you guys.
You're forgiven if you don't know the ins and outs of our relationship with Blizzard. But right now, Editor-in-Chief Alex Ziebart and The Queue superstar Mike Sacco are in Irvine, California. They're getting a special insider look at the Mists of Pandaria expansion from Blizzard itself.
But here's the problem: Though we have a ridiculous amount of unbelievably amazing information, we're not actually allowed to share it with you yet. We're under a press embargo. It's driving us crazy.
So in the interest of maintaining our relationship with Blizzard, we're going to spoil every other thing we can that isn't Mists of Pandaria. So -- spoiler alert! Today's WRUP combines the fun of telling everyone what you're playing with the fun of ruining stuff for other people.
Adam Holisky (@AdamHolisky) I too am cleaning my house. Spoiler alert: Ned Stark comes back to life as an Other.
Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) As with lots of other folks here -- spring cleaning! I'll also be doing some heavy lifting on an upcoming Shifting post and maybe spending more time in hopeless pursuit of the Crawling Claw or -- worse yet -- an intellect shield for my shaman. They seem to be equally rare. Here's a major spoiler for the best book of all time: Blind monks are bad news.
Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'll be hanging out with family while they're in town, catching up on writing, and studiously avoiding catching whatever plague my nephews have come down with. Raiding this weekend, and likely some Skyrim thrown in as well for the heck of it. Spoiler: Elune is a naaru.
Chase Christian (@madsushi) I am going to be playing a lot of ME3 multiplayer. A lot. Spoiler: Shepard is a reaper!
Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid) I'll be lost in space, either in ME3 or checking out the SWTOR free trial weekend. Spoiler: Dumbledore shot J.R.
Dan Desmond (@antigen_) Having just beaten Mass Effect 3, I think my plans for the weekend will involve staring at a blank wall wondering what the hell I just witnessed. Spoiler: It was his sled.
Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) Having beat Mass Effect 3 single player, I will probably be playing lots of multiplayer. Also, I may or may not be making insane conspiracy theory posts about that damn ending. Spoiler: You're the only real person in the entire world. The rest of us are virtual intelligences, created to fool and placate you, to keep you from the truth. It's time to wake up.
Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) We should really go shopping and decorate the baby's room, but I think I'm going to claim I'm feeling nauseated and the only solution is for my husband to clean the house while I play Mass Effect 3. Spoiler: The combination for the space vacuum is 1 2 3 4.
Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) Heading to New York and then Philadelpia to see Everything is Terrible live. You should do that too. Spoiler alert: The only difference between the endings is different-colored explosions.
Joe Perez (@lodurjz) Fighting this flu thing I caught from work, playing some ME3 since my sister bought it for me and I'd feel guilty for not playing it, more SWTOR and WoW. Spoiler: Bruce Willis was a ghost the entire time!
Josh Myers (@PostColloquial) I'll be dog sitting for my brother, so no computer games. However, he's currently the trustee of my trusty Xbox, so I'll probably be renting something mindless from Blockbuster and slaying things all weekend. No predictions of what I'll rent yet though. As for spoilers, Rose lets Jack go. Also, Pacey Witter ends up with Joey and Dawson doesn't. Also, Luke Skywalker makes out with his sister before she's retconned into being his sister.
Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) Hopefully some alt leveling, and Devil Survivor 2. Spoiler alert: Frodo takes the ring to Mordor.
Lisa Poisso (@LisaPoisso) Must be spring cleaning week or something. Me, too. Spoiler: ____________________.
Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo) I'm playing the Clean My House game. Spoiler alert: Finkle is Einhorn.
Matt "Matticus" Low (@matticus) Too depressed to play Mass Effect 3 right now. Probably head back to ranked solo queue in League of Legends to strengthen and train up my tolerance. Dance Central 2 an amazing amount of fun at parties. Party Rock on hard mode is really hard. Can't seem to get that flawless. Erry'day I'm strugglin'. Spoiler: The pie is a lie.
Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) I finished ME3, so I'm doing the only logical thing and starting over at ME1 with a new play-through. Might also try some Civ 5, which I haven't played in forever. Spoiler: Dorothy was actually indoctrinated and never actually went to Oz. She hallucinated the whole thing.
Megan O'Neill (@slowpoker) I plan to be reading this weekend. I particularly need to finish up The Forever War by Joe Haldeman before I give it back to my dad. Spoiler: It's a cookbook.
Michael Gray (@writegray) I'm spending the weekend with shellac and brewing a fresh round of beer. I need to de-stone the garden area for corn soon. My life is so rockstar. Spoiler: It gets better. But it never stops being sad.
Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) Levelling my new SoR frost mage -- I'm really enjoying it! Spoiler: Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

You bastards! Why did the first spoiler have to be Game of Thrones? WHYYYYYYY???? I'm not even half way through the book. D:
I don't believe you.
Caylynn Mar 16th 2012 5:54PM
I'm currently re-reading all of the books, thanks to the HBO series. :) I originally read them all when they first came out, but there have been some things I had forgotten.
Quaza Mar 16th 2012 6:22PM
It must happen really late.
I'm halfway through the fourth, CURSE YOU.
AROD Mar 16th 2012 6:26PM

Jonsi Mar 16th 2012 9:30PM
spoiler alert for a 16 year old book and almost year old television show, guys
Skarlette Mar 17th 2012 4:04AM
They're screwing with you. I've read all the books and no such thing happens. It would a typical GRRM mindfuck, though, so I don't blame you for thinking it plausible. ;)

Well, yeah. Like I said I didn't ACTUALLY believe him (well played, Adam, well played), it's just that every time I mention i'm reading Game of Thrones, without fail someone will tell me something that I would have liked to find out for myself. So people and the damn miasma of the Internet have already told more than I wanted to know. I'm trying to get through it so fresh that I'll even change the channel when the Blu-Ray Commercial comes on, I already had the characters in my mind. First book, then HBO.
Oh, and I was 8 when that series came out. I've had a long queue of other SciFi/Fantasy to get through before makeing it to ASoIaF.

HELLO!
Earth to oblivious Gamers!
St Patrick's Day falls on a Saturday, and nobody mentions it?
Caylynn Mar 16th 2012 5:59PM
Bah, green beer isn't all that exciting. And I hate Guinness. :P
Scunosi Mar 16th 2012 6:17PM
Well to anyone outside the UK it's hardly a holiday, more just an excuse to drink.
Which I guess is a holiday to a very specific group of people, but anyone outside that doesn't really care other than wearing green.
Noyou Mar 16th 2012 7:56PM
Uh, the thousands of people who participated in 2 parades in Chicago would disagree with you. St. Patrick's Day is big all over. Irish are well traveled my friend. Well traveled.
Pryn Mar 17th 2012 11:32AM
@Scunosi
UK? UK? The REPUBLIC of Ireland says hello, and stands apart from the United Kingdom which we fought for centuries to gain independence from. Spoiler: We're not british, we're not part of the UK.
Most countries have their own national holiday, ie 4th July in the USA, 14th July in France. Ours is celebrated on the feast day of our patron saint and its nice that the Irish across the world, as well as those of Irish heritage and our friends in all corners of the world celebrate with us. Landmarks across the world are going green today, so its far beyond the shores of our little country.
The BEST thing about the irish people and especially true of our national holiday is how inclusive it is. Everyone's welcome to join in celebrating and enjoying music, dancing, good company. Here in Ireland its a family time too and much of the celebrations and events are focused on children, though a lot of adults will party a fair bit in the evening too.
St Patricks Day is a lot more than a Guinness worldwide marketing tool, I'd challenge any haters to come to Dublin for it some year and feel first hand the warmth, fun and cultural immersion of it beyond the green hats plastic shamrock and black pints.
Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig!

ITS CALLED "WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING" NOT WHAT ARE YOU READING YOU MORRON!
Pugs 'R Us Mar 17th 2012 12:40PM
Lol, you misspelled moron :)
Titusx Mar 16th 2012 6:36PM
Down vote me all you want. That was true rage in written format right there. The fact that I didn't spell all the word wrongly speaks volumes of my mettle.
Titusx Mar 16th 2012 5:52PM
I SWEAR ON MY LIFE TO SEE THIS SITE BURN ON FEL-FIRE!
(goes make a warlock alt and start leveling)
